Tried to fix a “faulty gearbox” warning using diagbox but I think I may have done something wrong. I went into gearbox something or other on diagbox and it started to calibrate the gear gates, but then part way through it flashed a message up saying failed due to no comms with ecu !

Does anyone know if electric dispatch mirrors will fit my synergie?? Man at euro car parts says they will.
Found some good used one and my original manual mirrors on my synergie are broken apparently all the electrics should be in the doors card and all I will need is the switch pack which I have found in a breakers yard.

I thought I would look for the leak which I see as moisture on the join between gearbox and engine.

It is almost impossible to photograph, the best way to describe the position is, it is underneath the fuel pump ( it's not fuel) where a double pipe goes into the engine.

Does anyone have any ideas what this is ?

Handbook says Gear oil and Coolant does not need changing. The coolant looks dirty and I don't believe in leaving oil in something for life.

I am finishing off a refurbishment of my 2008 C4 by Loeb and am down to 2 x electrical issues to sort out.

1 :- After start-up the system check puts up a Braking system faulty message. Using Diagbox it says the ABS ECU has a permanent fault. Using Lexia to dig deeper it has a fault message saying under/over voltage to ABS ECU .

Van has one key fob. It does not lock doors. When i push lock button on a fob it does nothing. Same with a button inside a van. But van unlocks with fob or button inside. When I try to lock drivers door twisting it just a drivers door locks.

Hi all. I’m looking to swap the brake master cylinder on my c15 for one that’ll move a bit more fluid. I’ve fitted bigger brakes and want to make best use of them. When starting the engine in the morning the secondary air pump is very noisy I guess it turn in very high speed. After two to three minutes the noise disappears. I know on cold start the secondary air pump streams air to the catalytic converter to help it reach working temperature but I wonder if the noisy pump is normal ?

I drove the care a few miles and let it stand for 30 min on a level spot.

I've finally decided to have a go at fixing my driver's window that has been wedged shut with a piece of wood for the last 3 years!
