I'm looking for some information about how to bleed the cooling system on my car. Following it coming back from a service (06/2026) it's encountered various transient faults which I believe I've tracked down to being caused by an air pocket in the cooling system which is causing the car to throw all sorts of codes, however the car itself...

I did, the independent garage that did the service seem to think the codes are due to the car needing a software update that Citroen needs to do.

I have itermittent issue within fuel system. On a morning after driving for a few minutes. Car makes noise feels likes no fuel getting to engine. I recently became the owner of a 2011 DS3 Racing. Yesterday it stopped while cruising on the highway and the fault turned out to be a broken vacuum pump...which broke one of the cam shafts, a couple of rocker arms, and destroyed the cylinder head. Thanks, that helps. So they ARE available and the 203hp & 207hp are different part numbers than the rest of teh lower hp options which makes me think it's the correct part. VERY expensive, and that for a bare head with no valves or anything.

My 2012 DS5 Hybrid 2.0 threw up an engine fault yesterday, with code U1288 showing on my OBD reader which is fairly generic to do with a CAN Hybrid Network fault.

It still drives with the diesel engine but is sluggish moving off, presumably as the electric motors aren't helping it, but I can also drive it in electric mode so they are working and...

Hi,

I have a problem with my DS3 2012 1.6 HDi. The SERVICE light is on permanently and the screen says ECO Deactivated. The ECO light is flashing and I cannot manually reactivate it.
I have reset the service indicator and also done a BSI reset but neither of these has helped.
The car seems to drive fine.

Any ideas as to what the problem may be....

Hi,

I'll keep it simple.

A couple of occasions in the past few weeks where I am driving along and all well is good and then I get the dreaded bing and I have three lights on at once - service, engine light and also the ESP light. When I stop and turn the car off and then start again only the engine light stays on. I only have a small OBD plug in...

Hello, as the title says i need some helkp with my HiFi system.
The car is a 2016 DS DS3 blue hdi with the smeg screen

I've built in the subwoofer in the back, and the tweeter in the front. They both work, the tweeter plays as it should, but the subwoofer isnt very loud, and i almost cannot hear it. I've tried 2 other cars with the HiFi system...

this is what i found out.
First i tried to install my subwoofer in the car that works, there my subwoofer played loud.

Then i tried the subwoofer from the working car in my own car, where it played low...

The DS3 1.6 HDI 92hp normally needs to top up cooling a few times or is there an issue?

1º Photo (18/02/2026) with 181.578 KM
2º Photo today (25/05/2026) with 183.407 KM

The type of coolant should not cause the level to fall provided you have been using an ethylene glycol type.

Hello.
My 2015 DS3 just lock one door ( passenger one ) with the remote locking key, but unlocks both. Anyone knows what could be?

USING the key on the drivers door everything works fine, lock and unlock.

Team how are you I have a challenge am facing on my Citroën ds4 ep6 engine turbo it's start mixing oil and coalnt I take out both block and head cylinder to engineers and they say it needs light skim on both get it skimmed, i order a new gasket and thermostat rebuild the engine but m still facing a very same thing still overheating makes coalant...

Hi all, I am soon to check out a ds7 at a local dealers. It is a 2021 1.6 puretech 180 performance line plus EAT8 with 23,000 miles. The opera and rivoli are taxwise not an option (refuse to pay the over £40,000 car tax bracket) I dont imagine it has a sunroof or active scan suspension?. Do you have this ds7 engine and trim? I will do a test drive...

Hi kirkjames1, do you have the 20 tokyo wheels too? I will at some point put all season Pirelli Scorpions on. At the moment on Goodyear Eagle F1's. They are a summer tyre, feel hard to the touch too, very rumbly, mind you the handling is great, hope not to lose that on replacement.

Ds3 1.6thp coolant bleeding

Hello there. New member here!
I have a ds3 1.6thp and have a question about coolant bleeding. On the thermostat where the bleed screw should be there is an off centre slotted cap with a wire coming out. Im led to believe this is from a recall. Does this still serve as a bleed point too ? Im unsure how to upload pictures at the moment

I own a DS7 2018 2.0 BlueHDI engine the better half uses the vehicle 99% of the time for work.

A okay, the coolant itself looked clean when I drained and flushed the system, although in the reservoir there was a residue, almost gritty, which I am guessing is minerals or residue left from the boiled of liquid. I remember when the Water pump failed previously when DS themselves recovered her the coolant reservoir had exactly the same residue....

Been very pleased with the DS4 over past 18 months.. its just turned 2 years old and had just its 2nd dealer service, 10 days ago.

Dealers do not seem to give any paperwork for warranty jobs, we have never been given anything. I think labour rates for warranty work are lower than we would pay for work doing so a couple of hours might only be around £100 to £150 or if we paid around £250. Any parts replaced and the old ones are kept so not available to the car owner.
