C5 x7 front suspension
Hi new member from Australia. I have a 2008 c5 x7 exclusive 2.7 litre HDI. Car was parked all good . Came back a few hours later , the inner front guards are sitting on the tyres . Any reason this would happen. Thanks

Re: C5 x7 front suspension
Hi
Is the whole vehicle sitting on the bump stops or is it just front or rear?
If the whole vehicle is at lowest setting, then my first thought would be that the electronic suspension control has been activated at least twice (inadvertently whilst exiting the car). Once this has been done, the car would slowly sink.
It would be strange for the front and rear ends to sink like that, so I would rule out all 4 height correctors failing!
The only other thing I can think off if all the above have been ruled out is the BHI (the Integrated Hydroelectronic Block). If the exhaust solenoid valves are not operating then the anti-sink function will not be working and all the fluid will return to the reservoir.

Drove the car home 2 km away , suspension corrected itself on the way home . And stayed at the correct ride height when parked . A bit weird but there you go happy none the less

Ok, so I'd be VERY careful and do not get under the car unless you have it independently supported as it can drop without warning and crush you.
It may be that you have a sticking height corrector at the front.

Lots of Citroëbics might fix it. Always good to do anyway, exercises the trailing arm bearings among other things.
