I doubt the piece of plastic holding the cable to the floor will cause an issue with the air bag light, but an intermittent loose connection in the plug and socket almost certainly will. Check for a good electrical connection within. Look...

Looking for advice on how to repair a leak on the hydraulic return hose on my Xantia 2.0i 16v.
It's the hose from the middle front sphere that's cracked with age.
Looking to do a join repair with suitable hose and an in-line connector.

Any advice appreciated.

C2 ignition failing to start intermittently

Help needed. My daughter has a 08 1.2 pertol C2 it has developed an intermittent fault, it starts runs and drives fine, used daily.

The most likely place is the door apperture where the wiring loom comes from the A Pillar through to the door via a ptotective tube into the driver's door.

Opening and closing the door over the years weakens the wiring at theis point leading to intermittent use and eventually wearing the wire to breaking point. That's the best place to start as...

Convinced that the fault was the thermostat, I removed the new thermostat and tested it in a bucket of boiling water. The valve did not open at first, but after fiddling with the mechanism I managed to get it to work OK, reassembled and now car working. I guess there is a reason why OEM parts are more expensive.

It feels like over the past month I've searched through this forum for answers.

My car (citroen c4 picasso 2014) went for its MOT start of November with no real problems.
It returned then after about 3 days the blower suddenly stopped working. Then 2 days later it was working again. Then week before it stopped working on THE worst day of weather...

I have a question about automatic gearbox from Citroën Xm V6 with ES9 engine. I bought it with broken gearbox, and instead of fixing its original gearbox I installed the gearbox from Citroën C5 V6.
And now can't change the gears. If I put it in Drive it shift, but stays in the first gear. After that it goes to Safe Mode (third gear)...

BCU won't wake up by remote

Put battery back on and alarm kept going off. Remote only works after inserting key into door and unlocking .
Remote works fine after this car locks unlocks on the fob
Once the BCU goes to sleep it won't wake .up. problem started after I used an Audi
Key fob to unlock by pressing remote .
It did go through a phase...

Has it been forced in the opposite direction lately - either by an oncoming vehicle or by walking into it? This can cause it to lose synchronisation with the gear.

I need to change a headlight telltale light (it is blinking on different occasions) in the dashboard. Is there an instruction about here I can locate to tell me how to extract said light.
I thought it may have been telling me that the light may have been stuffed but that is not the case.

If that is blinking it’s indicating a fault in the operation of (1 of) the headlights. Either 1 did not ignite when switching on or there is an issue with the auto levelling. Either way, that dash light is working as intended.

Citroen hydraulic pipe seals

Small high pressure pipework uses special LHM 'rubber' sleeves for the screw-in unions, identified by a longitudinal green stripe.

Citroen part numbers for these standard small seals are really difficult to find on Parts - they're hidden under Piping Brackets! #-o

We've all come up against that problem at some point.
Copaslip works well and is what I use, copaslip though not copper grease which doesn't halt the galvanic corrosion. Some people favour a paper gasket which has many reports of success.
Swapping the sides is a good solution if you can, it was reported some time ago that a member here found that...

(berlingo 1.9d 2000) after eventually finding the flywheel locking pin hole it is now stripped and ready to fit a new cambelt kit and w/pump, does anyone have any advice for the tension of the belt? ( without a gauge)

Hi All

I have a citroen C4 Vtr 1.6

Last night I noticed a ticking sound while driving while driving. Also, The light on my steering wheel are flashing and the controls on the steering wheel are not working..

It does sound like a failure of the stalk unit (most likely the ribbon cable) - it's not in this case a COM2000 though, it's a later one, possibly a COM2005, and I don't think the Bradford guy can repair those. GREETINGS....my vans been reversed in to (i'm quessing) at our local super market....the driver didnt hang round and swap details....no cctv :(....the only damaged was the front grille which ive replaced but i've found it impossible to find a grille surround....its a 1.9d 2004-2006 face lift model....the m.o.t is coming up and my masking tape...

Ok, I had a look at the Kingas (why do we call it that, by the way?) site and found myself pretty impressed.
However, they make no mention anywhere of Xantia strut tops. Only XM ones.
Also, no clues about pricing, just vague hints that bulk orders are preferred and more cost effective!

Removal, Cleaning and Refitting of a standard Xantia Front Height Corrector

You will need:
x3 Front Height Corrector Hydraulic Union Seals (Citroen P/N - 96085 785)
Purpose made 8mm flare nut spanner (an open end spanner will round the delicate unions!)
Spanner Set
Screwdrivers of varying lengths
Pliers
White grease spray

for my citroen xantia S2 1998 1.9TD estate I bought what appeared to be a pretty good drivers door with great looking hinges after my original door top hinge failed miserably.

I had it sprayed the right colour from silver to dark blue and with some help managed to get it fitted to the car.

the top hinge lasted exactly four months before it...

Hi Everybody,

last resort!!
Today i have changed the blower motor on my car, checked all the fuses and i still have no blower at all.

This seems to have slowly died over the last 2 weeks, first it started working normally but over the last 2 weeks its has slowly died getting gradually slower and slower like it was running of a little battery,...
