hi i am a newbie to the forum and i would like a piece of advice,i am thinking of changing to a c4 picasso,i have heard a lot of different viewpoints re the egs gearbox in this model so i am asking for opinions on this forum......is the egs good,bad,or indifferent thanks in advance. :wink:

So the red stop lights illuminate on the dash and LHM level is very low......but no puddles underneath. Further investigation finds a dirty stain on the carpet in the drivers footwell. Sure enough footwell is swimming in LHM. After considerable contortions discover fluid is entering around the brake rod behind pedal. So must be the brake control...

After 30+ years on hydraulic suspension I thought I might manage with this metal spring version but it's way too hard and harsh, a real spine jangler!

I knew it was too good to be true. After several months of trouble free motoring, I was driving happily along when I got a warning about low oil level, and the service light came on.

While driving along yesterday on my way to Cleethorpes ( fish and chips) the orange engine light and the esp light came on and the car went into limp mode so as you can guess it is In Evans Halshaw Citroen in Doncaster. In April i noticed a clunk/twang whenever i steered moderately/ hard to the right, ie slow speed turning and parking. To my untrained ear it sounded like the driver-side suspension.
I took the car to a garage and they replaced the coil spring and checked the CV joint and suspension....

So today I finally put my 1.4 C2 Sensodrive back together. I have recently purchased an 03 plate C2 1.6 VTR for my wife, the automatic gearbox is very slow in lower gears to change up. Ive just rebuilt the front driver corner on my 2011 C3 for MOT. Its the 8HR engine FYI. For the repair i changed the spring and had a local garage rebuild the strut. Changed the driveshaft for a Q-drive shaft

replaced the tie rod and replaced the drop link.

My 2003 C5 failed MOT due to corrosion on front O/S strut mounting.
The dealer quoted £259 for mounting and seals with no guarantee that he could get it (showing out of stock but said he could try).
A local breaker has a complete strut which looks OK...

The bracket has dropped away from the back of the handbrake in my 2011 HDi and one of the cables has come out of it. How hard is it to completely remove that centre console to get at it? Once i have access it should be a doddle to reattach. Any tips?

Checked the code with OBDII Reader and diagnostics showed code P0220 Throttle position sensor circuit B.

I opened the accelerator pedal position sensor in engine...

The picasso is back at the lads place. The throttle position sensor is a vdo unit having the following numbers :

Hi, I need a 96595091XT to replace exactly the one that's in my current C8 but I'm struggling to find one. I've heard from a couple of people that there are other part numbers that would fit. Would this for example 96595112XT? I installed a 96605635XT last year and it took out most of my dashboard electronics!

Does anyone have idea whats this connector and what does it do? Picture is a bit unclear, but it is placed above ignition coil top of valve cover. I just took off the engine cover plate when i was about to change spark plugs and this connector just fell apart, didn't really need to even touch it. That plastic is really brittle.

The Donk has no need for a front passenger seat. Vital drinks and food supplies can be carried in there for my missions :-D
So, I can get the seat out no problems but what about that pesky airbag. If I disconnect the wiring, will I need Lexia to get airbag light off when seat goes back in come winter. Mk1 C5 LX.....it has side airbag in the seat.
