2001 berlingo sill repair

Post by Martinez »

My sills have been patched in the past, but as per norm the inner sills are also gone so the o/s rear jacking point has collapsed. I’m just going to patch it for this year but need to think about replacing both sills and rebuilding the inner sills and jacking points. Anyone have a picture of how these panels are constructed ?
I know the outer sills are easy enough to get, but what about other parts ? Not going to main dealer again after the last quote for a panel ! Ouch !

Been looking at sill, but as mine was originally a chassis/cab do I need the ones for sliding door or not ?

It’s not stopped raining for over a week now so in the few hours of dry today I cut into the sill. I think it’ll be easier to weld it from outside rather than lying underneath. But anyone got picture of how the rear of the sill is built ? I’m going to rebuild inner and outer sill and the jacking point so picture would be useful as a guide. Cheers

I knew I’d be back eventually. So after 3 years and a few patches, it’s time to fit new sills. I measured my sill which are 78 inches, but the panel guy said the ones he stocks are only about 70 inches long. So question is, which sill do I need ?
