OT but read this morning of someone with a car parts shop, a woman driving a VW camper with the 1.6 air-cooled engine called in and asked which antifreeze she should be using.

There's no 'quantity' as such. There is a specific procedure for draining, bleeding, refilling and degassing the system that must be followed. Following the procedure, the system is filled as specified until the coolant runs freely.

The complete procedure is the same as for most PSA vehicles. I have already posted a guide up in the members resources section:

This guide is for the C5 X7, but is identical for you C8 2.2. Regarding the part concerning the Euro 6, follow the part for non-Euro 6 vehicles in your case.

Also note the part concerning if using vacuum filling, as you must measure the quantity of fluid removed and replace with the same amount. Most people use the gravity system as explained.

I sent a friend of mine back in the early 90s to motorworld to ask for a set of spark plugs for an old perkins diesel lump !
Me & some other mates hid be hind another row near the part counter the part counter staffs facial expressions were classic..

I've made an extended header tank with a used cut drinks bottle and taped into the mouth of the tank, it made filling and the bleeding process easier , might not work on all cars but if the cars header tank is a bit to low it works a treat.

OT, I once had to explain to a customer that just because it's a 2 litre engine it doesn't mean you put 2 litres of oil in when the oil warning lamp is on. Successful drain later....

My favourite one was, the oil was low... So I asked, why did you fill it up all the way to the oil filler cap!? Reply, well that's were the oil goes......
