My '97 ZX 1.4i (TU3 KDZ) has developed this nasty noise under load.
I've included a couple of videos below that illustrate it.
It only makes this noise when the car reaches operating temperature and otherwise drives very nicely.
She's just been MOTd for another year and had all the belts (+water pump) done plus all the rear brakes sorted so please tell me this isn't terminal.
The second video is probably the best.

Difficult to tell, knocking noise or squealing noise? Either way if the belts have just been done I would take it back and get them to look at it.
