You've got the same problem I have on my Berlingo. The bad news is there is no reel connector/clockspring/round connector on these. It's all part of the Comms 2000 unit behind the steering wheel, ribbon cables and it's a pain in the arse to troubleshoot. Where are you? You need to get a Lexia reading on it to ensure that's what it is.

Car juddering whilst breaking

The other day I noticed that if I am in 3rd or 4th gear and start breaking, the car would start juddering. Not sure if it would happen in all gears, but I noticed it most in 3rd.

Any ideas what it could be?

That suggest it could be a rear brake issue. When the car is empty, the rear brakes have very little force, due to the way they are operated. As the weight is increased, the amount of pressure sent to the rear brake callipers is also increased.

My immediate thought too. 'Wedged' rear callipers?

Sorry chaps, memory isn't what it was. The VSX is suffering from fuel starvation and air ingress (before the filter), so I need to start by checking the tank filter.

Xantia HP pumps

Does anyone know please if the HP pumps on the 2.1 VSX (1997 MY) and the 1.9TD (1995 MY) are likely to be interchangeable?
The VSX has a nice new shiney one, but that on the 1.9 weeps slightly. Plan would be to put the new one on the 1.9 once she's back on the road, then overhaul the leaky pump before putting it on the VSX. Can't have a leaky one...

i would prefer to fit new bung seals with the pump still attached to the car, as it holds it far better than a vice,
and most of the time its only the top most bung seals leaking,

i've had i 53 reg saxo beside the car with the same set up and swapped each sensor ,coil, plug etc etc
it left us think the only thing left to change is the ecu which we all know its not cheap if we are wrong
i've seen on a ford a way to test the plug connecting to the coil pack for an ecu...

2005 C5 2.0 HDi clutch & DMF - how much?

I think my C5 is going to need a new clutch and DMF. Very soon.

It all started happening last week, making grinding noise when releasing the clutch pedal, especially noisy in reverse, and then in first when taking off. Definitely nosier when cold and low revs, the sound disappears when releasing the clutch pedal at 1000rpm+. So I can drive it...

Finally had the clutch and DMF done today - it was quite noisy over the past few days. The DMF was in very bad shape, lots of free play, rattling and bolts quite worn. The clutch wasn't too bad for the milage (95K miles), but the bearing was on its last legs.

The best thing you could do at this point is to post up the last 8 digits of the VIN number, so that somebody who knows what they are doing (not I, sorry!) can then look up the configuration, and let you know the factory configuration (which ECUs, etc.).

Pully size will be the main thing, however, in operation it will work..

Im sure Petrols have a bigger pully to help the drain on the Lower Torque in the petrol engine when the pump kicks in, this meaning the petrol engine wont stall under load! You be suprised how much the pump takes out of an engine..

Mine goes down when the ignition (engine) is switched off. Surely that's normal.

It should only sink a small amount overnight. Mine drops at the most an inch, sometimes not at all.
I have noticed though that after a quick and bumpy run the rear will sometimes drop a bit to normal height from a slightly raised level after reversing...

My Lexia diagnoses the following fault: 'Accelerator pedal sensor 2 coherence with accelerator pedal 1
Pedal sensor 1 - 63%
Pedal sensor 2 - 76%

funny issue with the passenger door on the Xant, when its closed there is movement in the pins in the hinges allowing the door to drop slightly, but as soon as its open more than a couple of inches its fine, no play at all, annoying me a little now as it does give...

French Toll Road Tag

Hope someone can help me with this.

We are travelling down to Spain soon and have a Liber-T (tag for toll booths) :?: for our journey, it says to mount it on mottled black area behind rear view mirror, but my C5 doesnt have that, just the sensors for lights etc, anyone know where to position it so it will work at French Toll booths

Berlingo B9 - Blower not working at all

My interior fan/blower has stopped working all together. A couple of weeks ago, it stopped it was on no4, and stopped, and then came back on again a few mins later. This time it was on number 4, and stopped alltogether.

I dont think a fuse controls the fan (correct me if I am wrong). I have removed the fan. I have put a multimeter onto the plug...

Hi all, I have a 2004 Citroen Berlingo with a Delphi diesel pump R84 48B391C / 105087EXF / DPCDWLP12. It has a seal that has gone and I've managed to get another used fuel pump to fit and replace but where could I purchase overhaul seals to repair the original.

if its the usual leak on the Lucas/Delphi pump at the throttle spindle, you sometimes need to fit a new lid as well,

you can fit the spindle seals in situe without going to all the time and trouble of removing the pump,

very easy job

because when the seals fail the spindle can wear into the lid,

this company can supply the parts,

Citroen c5 hdi 2.0 2004 any one now where to get the power steering pipe the one from pump to rack, as spoke to main deelers and there saying its two peece pipe £272 ouch

The pipe assembly that needs replacing can be separated from the one running along the bottom of the radiator.
It's a big job that needs lifting of the transmission.
£272 is cheap, here it's $920. :evil:

Power drain.

After £200 for mot (hand brake cable, spring, caliper) I thought my battery was dead so got another and it looks like its aactually a power drain. Really struggles to start in the morning.

Is there any common problems with the C8's or any tips on where to start?

While im at it, how do you remove the front seats as i want to check under carpet...

pulley noise

Citroen c5 2 0 hdi estate, when the car is on tick over it sounds noisey but if you rev it slightley it does gow away
And its definitely drive belt side, as sat in McDonald's drive through with the eco nose as well it sounds terrible
I don't think its crank pulley as I replaced one on a previous car and that was more of a knock sound any pointers...

Well in the and snow we found diesel dripping from the rear of the injector pump on our 1.9d berlingo 1998 (non turbo) the fuel seems to be running from between the pump body and the bracket. We have checked all the pipe connections at that end of the pump and they seem tight and dry. The pump at that end seems one piece(?) but...

Great result! Just had 4 tyre valve sensors replaced by Citroen F.O.C. so I'm another happy customer. Had a DS4 loan car on both trips to the Citroen garage and was quite impressed with the car. When I'm ready to downsize, the DS4 will be a contender that's for sure.

Would a Lexia session be able to diagnose why the fuel consumption is so poor, about 33 on average. There's also some very strange whistling/whining noises which also disappear at around 3000rpm so are probably connected. hi all
im a newbie here hope this is in the right place.
I have a dispatch van with the dw8 engine and lucas injection pump the problem I have is that the damper or dash-pot lever pushes the revs up I have removed the damper/dash-pot lever and cured the problem but I cant seem to find a replacement anywhere I just cant find the right part...

That's it all done, new sensors fitted and so far, the car hasn't dropped into economy mode. I asked them to look at it but forgot to check when I picked it up. They said it might be the sensor fault causing it but I couldn't see why. They might have done something else to fix it but I'm happy with the service I got.

ive changed fuel pump put timming belt on and started her....running like on 3 cylinders and puffin white smoke....have i got a jammed injector?...checked water and oil all good also eml on and have fault codes for fuel pump primary circit...

Nice find taffy... but do this BEFORE putting the cam cover back on... turn the engine over by hand on the crank bolt with exfensions and a ratchet and be 100% certain that the engine will do a full cycle on all four cylinders before fitting the cover.. you will know then it be fine to turn the key..

Current Xantia I have (S2 Hdi) has never had working radiator fans. Never been much of an issue as it never seems to get hot enough for it to matter. I have looked at the other threads on the forum regarding non-working fans and have followed through the wiring diagram as far as I can make sense of them,...

If only one came on the the other is no good - either through supply or the motor itself. Surprised that you don't get flashing overtemp and STOP light with the AC on if the fans are not running. Reason the fan came on when you added gas is that it puts the fans on high when the high side pressure reaches a certain value - which it would have done...

Just collected the last two spheres from GSF and before they are fitted could someone please confirm they're the correct pressures/capacity.
The rear accumulator is 400cc 40 bar and the anti sink is 300cc 50 bar.
There was only one seal supplied, the normal one, with the anti sink and this is not a job I've had to do previously, is a seal needed...
