Hi series 2 Xantia window washer has stopped working checked the fuse OK, Haynes Manual says to get the pump out you have to remove the front bumper, is this right and if so how easy is it

No you dont need to remove the bumper...
Get the car on top setting, support the car on the subframe for safety.
Now, remove the archliner on the Drivers side. The washer bottle is behind the headlight area, infront of the arch liner.
The motor is a single motor with two pipe outlets. It works simply by spinning one way for front window, and reverse action for rear window.
The motor is accessable from under the front corner after pulling the arch back. BE SURE the tank is empty, or get a bucket, the motor simply levers outwards out of the rubber seal.. a single plug and two washer pipes...
Motors are only about a tenner...
