We are travelling down to Spain soon and have a Liber-T (tag for toll booths) for our journey, it says to mount it on mottled black area behind rear view mirror, but my C5 doesnt have that, just the sensors for lights etc, anyone know where to position it so it will work at French Toll booths
Put it as near to the rear view mirror (passenger side) as you can, I'm not sure if your screen is coated but if you have a satnav and that works with no problems you should be fine, just don't race through the toll lanes or you could take a barrier out.
Mine takes a few seconds to work sometimes but so far it has always picked up.
If its the first ime you have used it (as in it is a NEW tag) do take cash with you just in case they have not activated it or there are ant problems with the Tag.

Mine works just fine at the top of the screen just to the left of the mirror, so out of sight to the driver. Same model C5. If you do have difficulty you can pass the toll tag in through the toll booth window and they can read the bar code and bill you without handing credit card over, not as speedy as using the T lane but secure.
I read somewhere that car parks in a few big cities have signed up to Liber T so you can cashless park as well. Sounds very sensible.
