Compatible Xantia Parts

Post by cc101 »

Hi all, out of interest would a xantia petrol sinker hydraulic pump fit a xantia diesel sinker, same number of outlets on the pump? Cheers.

There's many variations of the hydraulic pumps with different engines, with/without A/C etc, apart from the V6 which is completely different the main differences are where around the pump the pipes connect, although I think there is more than one pulley size as well. We'd probably need to see a partial VIN number for both cars or at least have more details of the exact engine and accessory configuration to answer your question...

For looking up part numbers and checking compatibility of parts you can just use service.citroen.com - free to sign up and use. (just say you're in the trade and enter a dummy vat number, that's what we all do) :)

Its likely that the pulley will be different sizes on the petrol/diesel.

Pully size will be the main thing, however, in operation it will work..

Im sure Petrols have a bigger pully to help the drain on the Lower Torque in the petrol engine when the pump kicks in, this meaning the petrol engine wont stall under load! You be suprised how much the pump takes out of an engine..
