Airbag light came on as on roundabout.

Wondering if anyone can advise me what to do next please. Airbag light came on as driving at 20mph ish,on a roundabout. Took it to have it plugged in to diagnostic machine and it said p1801 drivers airbag igniter circuit open. Mechanic was busy said I could leave it and someone would play with it when they had time but its a taxi and if they couldnt give me a definite time etc,I aint leaving it,sorry. So any of you kind magicians got any idea what to try? Thanks in advance.

It's probably a dodgy airbag connection under the drivers or passenger seat. Just unplug it and make sure it's making a good connection. Often just waggling it around will fix the issue.

Sorry,citroen picasso 2.0 hdi (53 plate,2004). Tried messing with green plug,passenger side,no change,can not locate any plug on drivers side! Thanks ppl.

The plugs under the seats generally don't cause any problems on the picassos as the per tensioners are in the reels not the stalks. With that fault code the chances are its the rotary connector behind the steering wheel at fault but would need more checks to confirm.

On a 2004 model it will be part of the com2000 unit which also has the indicator & wiper stalks. They are quite expensive brand new but easy enough to change. you can use a 2nd hand ones no problem.

Nineteen different variations of that across the range so you need to be sure it's the right one.

The best thing you could do at this point is to post up the last 8 digits of the VIN number, so that somebody who knows what they are doing (not I, sorry!) can then look up the configuration, and let you know the factory configuration (which ECUs, etc.).
