Hello, so I'm looking for a car for long term keeping. It seems like diesels are pretty much done for the future so I would like to buy a good diesel car and keep it for a while. While I'm sure there are a lot of good diesel cars, on my short list of engines have 4 of them, all used on the Citroen C5 / Peugeot 407 / 508.

I have a 2011 5008 2L 150 with a split EOLYS tank. Local garage is not helpful beyond that, can't source but could fit/re-register etc
Trouble is, I think there are at least 2 versions of the tank/fittings.
What part do I need to look for ? (happy to buy with or without pump, I guess)

Getting lots of smoke after changing the injector 4 on a 3008. Tried two different injectors and same result. Any suggestions? The return rail is a bit loose but injector and feed in seem tight.

After the recent cold snap I've had a cable break behind the wheel of the 807, It looks like it may be a break sensor/ABS cable. However, I am not getting any ABS errors and today I have started to get a break pad worn alert so can I assume it is a break sensor cable?

I've a 508 2.0 blueHDI 110.0KW 66 plate that has the Anti Rollback, ABS, ESP Warning lights on. I've run the diagnostics through a BOSCH garage & it has the fault code 5385 Valve Relay - ESP 8.1.

2009 107 been starting well then after a week of not using and very cold weather it won’t start. The engine turns and sounds like it will start but never catches. There's a small leak on my sump seal which unfortunately is dripping on the exhaust. I'm going to drop the sump but there seems to be conflicting info on whether to seal it with a gasket or RTV. Any pearls of wisdom out there to assist me?

Hi all,

Switching on the blower suddenly has no effect on our 2012 5008. Measuring the voltage on the 2 thick wires to the blower motor measure 14.5V when it's switched on, and 7V when it's off (I presume this is a floating voltage not real).

Can we conclude that the motor is kaput?

I understand there are separate motors for the 'rear', but...

I've recently bought a 308SW 2012 as family is growing and a small Clio wasn't cutting it anymore.

I've incurred two issues,

1. The eco engine stop never seemed to work, it flashes Eco on the dash when it should engage but nothing more. I've no idea on this one but I don't mind it not working but I feel I should find out...

My 407 V6 petrol has recently started to flash up the air bag light and then sometimes clears.

I assume its a connector issue (probably drivers side).

Is there a diagram of where they are / guide as to how to get to the connectors under the seat (I assume) as its pretty tight under there to get both hands in.
