Winter diesel

Unread post by picassodad »

God I hope winter diesel arrived at the forecourts during Oct/Nov time.

It's gone very cold here, ice on path etc.. my lads partners sisters picasso experienced w/washer failure, blown fuse but still refuses to work. Hope the fuse died before the pump motor. Car still thawing out for now. our pug 306 washers didn't work, lines iced up but ok now.

Winter diesel

Does anyone know what temp summer diesel suffers wax drop out at please ?

Also same for winter diesel please ?

Is there an additive to boost anti wax drop out please ?

Thanks.

A lot of the screenwash sold is not really suitable, only safe down to -2~-5°C

Aldi, or perhaps Lidl, have some that is good for -16°. Must have a look, mine is all summer stuff.

Not a clue other than some have used a small amount of petrol. Never had a problem when I ran diesels.
