Hi all,
New to the forum, but I could use your opinions on this case as I'm scratching my head trying to figure it out. I have a Peugeot 308 1.6 e-HDI from 2012.
A few weeks ago I received an error saying "Battery Charge or Electrical Supply System Faulty" followed by "Engine Fault. Repair needed". To be honest I didn't pay much attention to it because these errors did not reflect on anything physical or tangible, and the car ran well. At least until this week. These days I noticed the wheel is moving a bit heavier than it used to, when I press the brake pedal, the pedal seems to "tremble" a little, and when I run the car in the 2nd or 3rd gear and I take my foot off the gas, the car starts to lump or tremble a bit, as if it doesn't have enough power to keep going. Today more errors appeared - ABS system faulty, ESP/ASR system faulty.
A battery issue seems like a no-go since it was already replaced, so I don't think there's an issue there. I'm planning to take the car to a garage next week but I'd like to have some ideas on what to expect.
Any advice/opinions you can share would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Random and unrelated system faults are a classic symptom of electrical power failure.
The most likely suspect would be the battery. Despite you having replaced it, it still could faulty.
Next would be the alternator. The problem is, the alternator is still producing enough power to "sort of" charge the battery but not enough to satisfy the electrical system? Rare but not unheard of.
There is also the possibility of bad or corroded wiring.
They are in that order purely on probability. Without any hard data it's just a guess.

You should have about 14.4 volts across the battery with the engine running, much less and your alternator is probably faulty.
