Peugeot 807 brake pad worn alerts

Unread post by Romtag »

Hi All

After the recent cold snap I've had a cable break behind the wheel of the 807, It looks like it may be a break sensor/ABS cable. However, I am not getting any ABS errors and today I have started to get a break pad worn alert so can I assume it is a break sensor cable?

I dont have any pics yet but will post some tomorrow morning when I can see the car better.

If it is the cable, are they easy to purchase and replace, and if so can someone work up the schematics for me? :)

PS I know I need to donate again! - so a link or reminder of how to do it would be great! :)

Any future parts requests, just pop them up in the official parts thread:

As for the brake pad wear detection harness, I can't see it specifically mentioned.

This is diagram for the front brakes

You can only see the pads with the plugs that connect to the wiring loom.

This is the under engine wiring Harness

I can't tell from this if it shows the connections for the brake pad wear plugs though.

The only other diagrams are the supplementary ones for the bumper and lighting harness and the other is for the main engine block (injection) so not on that.
So you may have to look for a repair.

This is the wire that has snapped, and was just hanging loose, when I went to check what it was it just broke away from the brakes.

So based on all your experience, is this the brake worn sensor cable?

Just splice it back in with a bit of solder and some heatshrink tubing. All will be good.

Notice the BX is still top the list but sadly gone

The part on the left is what has broken off the main loom and that is the bit you'll need to repair with a wiring block. The actual sensor cable on the right will come with the new pads if you get the version with the sensors and just plugs in.
