Recall

Unread post by Steve Walsh »

Hi all

Is it possible via the forum to find out if there is any outstanding recalls from a VIN number, a friend as just bought a 2016 3008 petrol powered, and somewhere in the back of my mind I seem to think there was a recall for timing belt problems.

VIN: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Thanks

You can bang in the reg on this site and get a list of recalls for the model:
https://www.check-vehicle-recalls.servi ... hicle/make

The only timing belt-related one I see is:
Recall number R/2020/326

Recall date 20-01-2021

Recall type Safety recall
Reason for recall

The brake vacuum pump may be affected by material detaching from the timing belt.
How to check if the vehicle is recalled

Contact the local PEUGEOT dealership or manufacturer. You will not need to pay for anything involving the recall.
How the manufacturer will repair

Update detection software inspect and if necessary replace vacuum pump and timing belt.
Number of affected vehicles
