Mine goes down when the ignition (engine) is switched off. Surely that's normal.

It should only sink a small amount overnight. Mine drops at the most an inch, sometimes not at all.
I have noticed though that after a quick and bumpy run the rear will sometimes drop a bit to normal height from a slightly raised level after reversing...

I have a 2006 Citroen C3 Desire (27,000ish miles) that will not start. Last week it showed an error message on the display - Anti-Theft fault. The ignition turned but the engine would not start, we have managed to get it out of that mode by connecting and disconnecting battery terminals and locking/unlocking using the key. Now the error...

We are travelling down to Spain soon and have a Liber-T (tag for toll booths) :?: for our journey, it says to mount it on mottled black area behind rear view mirror, but my C5 doesnt have that, just the sensors for lights etc, anyone know where to position it so it will work at French Toll booths

My interior fan/blower has stopped working all together. A couple of weeks ago, it stopped it was on no4, and stopped, and then came back on again a few mins later. This time it was on number 4, and stopped alltogether.

I dont think a fuse controls the fan (correct me if I am wrong). I have removed the fan. I have put a multimeter onto the plug...

Hi all, I have a 2004 Citroen Berlingo with a Delphi diesel pump R84 48B391C / 105087EXF / DPCDWLP12. It has a seal that has gone and I've managed to get another used fuel pump to fit and replace but where could I purchase overhaul seals to repair the original.

if its the usual leak on the Lucas/Delphi pump at the throttle spindle, you sometimes need to fit a new lid as well,

you can fit the spindle seals in situe without going to all the time and trouble of removing the pump,

very easy job

because when the seals fail the spindle can wear into the lid,

The pipe assembly that needs replacing can be separated from the one running along the bottom of the radiator.
It's a big job that needs lifting of the transmission.

After £200 for mot (hand brake cable, spring, caliper) I thought my battery was dead so got another and it looks like its aactually a power drain. Really struggles to start in the morning.

Is there any common problems with the C8's or any tips on where to start?

Citroen c5 2 0 hdi estate, when the car is on tick over it sounds noisey but if you rev it slightley it does gow away
And its definitely drive belt side, as sat in McDonald's drive through with the eco nose as well it sounds terrible
I don't think its crank pulley as I replaced one on a previous car and that was more of a knock sound any pointers...

Well in the and snow we found diesel dripping from the rear of the injector pump on our 1.9d berlingo 1998 (non turbo) the fuel seems to be running from between the pump body and the bracket. We have checked all the pipe connections at that end of the pump and they seem tight and dry. The pump at that end seems one piece(?) but...

Great result! Just had 4 tyre valve sensors replaced by Citroen F.O.C. so I'm another happy customer. Had a DS4 loan car on both trips to the Citroen garage and was quite impressed with the car. When I'm ready to downsize, the DS4 will be a contender that's for sure.

I have a dispatch van with the dw8 engine and lucas injection pump the problem I have is that the damper or dash-pot lever pushes the revs up I have removed the damper/dash-pot lever and cured the problem but I cant seem to find a replacement anywhere I just cant find the right part...

Nice find taffy... but do this BEFORE putting the cam cover back on... turn the engine over by hand on the crank bolt with exfensions and a ratchet and be 100% certain that the engine will do a full cycle on all four cylinders before fitting the cover.. you will know then it be fine to turn the key..

If only one came on the the other is no good - either through supply or the motor itself. Surprised that you don't get flashing overtemp and STOP light with the AC on if the fans are not running. Reason the fan came on when you added gas is that it puts the fans on high when the high side pressure reaches a certain value - which it would have done...

Just collected the last two spheres from GSF and before they are fitted could someone please confirm they're the correct pressures/capacity.
The rear accumulator is 400cc 40 bar and the anti sink is 300cc 50 bar.
There was only one seal supplied, the normal one, with the anti sink and this is not a job I've had to do previously, is a seal needed...

Synergie recurring problem

when we got my daughters synergie it had a loose N/S front swivel pin,
which we ended up fitting a second hand hub that seemed to be ok and got it through the MOT,

flippin things gone loose again, seems to be a common fault on these,

so apart from welding :-D the hub to the swivel pin what is the long term fix

I am probably wrong but i think there may have been the possibility of 2 different ball joint pins. The pinch bolt as far as I remember is an M10 8.8 bolt. If you want to be able to really welly it up replace it with a 12.9 bolt. They usually come in socket cap format.

I've narrowed my choice of rear brake disc & pads for my 2007 C5, Petrol 2.0L, Hatchback to the following items from ebay:

I need to know whether these are the correct item to get for my 2007 C5. The chassis no is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].

Berlingo knocking noise

Berlingo is making an occasional knock. It *only* does it when turning right at 15-20mph. It's more likely to do it when there's a passenger in it. It's a dull knock rather like the knock it made when the rear engine mounting bush had gone. I can feel it through the steering I...

Hi all
Got my self a N reg 1.9 TD Xantia done about 87,000, turns out the front suspension was fairly hard and the front ride height looked kinda high to me. Well the local Citoren specialist ( used to look at my BX back in the day ) reckoned it was the Spheres.We had a bit of a discussion about the height corrector sticking etc...what worried me...

A roughly check if the car height is normal

Measure the distance from ground to wheel arc in low position.
Raise the car to max and measure again.

The normal height should be about half the distance between min and max - set the car to normal ride,measure the distance and compare it to the calculated distance.

I gather that to reconnect, I need to switch on the ignition with the spare key, and then fire the plip at the receiver. Hi Citroen forum,

I've read up many a thread on the clutch replacement causing possible issues with the slave cylinder if the garage has gone in heavy handed. I've got exactly the same issue. The garage has replaced the clutch but there's now no pressure on the clutch pedal and the clutch won't fully disengage with the biting point on the floor....

Passed the MOT today with no advisories, just a comment on the insignificant LHM bleed around OSR sphere (which CitroJim spotted on the pre-MOT a couple of weeks ago and) which requires no immediate action. :) Recent engine oil, filter and 50% ATF change keep the good times rolling. Average MPG over the 22 months and 18K miles of mixed duties...

As for MPG, I remember bringing my V6 Xantia back from scotland, I took it easy and steady, only because old L reg TD was following behind and managed around 34mpg.. I was rather impressed with that. And that was with a dodgy coil pack where she would run on 5 now and again....

Nemo Tyre Wear

Hello, my brother has a Nemo van that munches tyres.
He has had both front struts tops replaced under warranty but its still doing it.
Tracking and balancing have been checked many times and from different garages.
The dealer is not of great help.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Yeah my brother is as unconvinced.
He has been told that for Berlingos that have this issue Citroen have told their dealers to jus say its a characteristic of the vehicle.

Hi Gang,

Here's a quick update re my problem:

Have checked for air leaks - zero
Have checked glow plugs fine
When running no problems with pump
New battery fitted and fully charged.
The key is being recognised by immobiliser.

So here's the latest it requires approx 23 turns and then she starts resulting in an beeping alarm and flashing yellow...

also wen this happened i managed to bypass the imobiliser by the pump and just ran a live to the solinoid,,,,i cant remember how thou...but if u can give the wires a wiggle while someone tries to start it...thats how i found it..

The fault seems to relate to the oxygen sensor (replaced) or the wiring. Has anyone experienced this - it appears the car is running too rich and flagging a fault. Any help on the diagnosis greatly appreciated, C2 2004 1.1 SX cheers

P0131 means the oxygen sensor voltage is staying low all the time, which would normally indicate a lean condition if the oxygen sensor was working. On the other hand if the ECU was receiving a low voltage erroneously (faulty oxygen sensor, oxygen sensor heater not working, shorted wiring etc) then it would try to richen the mixture to compensate...

Taking out all my cloths/gloves and stuff prior to Wednesdays service and MOT, I noticed that I have two towing brackets. One short and one long. I'm assuming one front and one rear, but the owners handbook shows only one supplied. The other stuff would appear to be a splined and threaded shaft with a taper end (about 100mm long), which I presume...

Xantia sinking more with Hydraflush in system

Just in the middle of a hydraflush (700mls, only another 300 to go) and I noticed the car tends to settle more over the course of a few days if not used.
Probably normal as the flush is thinner ? than LHM so would seep past seals more ?

After fitting hydraflush and bleeding everything car runs well and Stop light which used to take 20 secs+ to go...
