Nemo Tyre Wear

Post by mooseshaver »

Hello, my brother has a Nemo van that munches tyres.
He has had both front struts tops replaced under warranty but its still doing it.
Tracking and balancing have been checked many times and from different garages.
The dealer is not of great help.
Does anyone have any ideas?

How quickly is it going through tyres? Just fronts or all four?

I have had a courier Bippa van with the same issues, check the lower wishbones for wear, they are not the best set up, as they are Fiat vans really.
There has to be a problem , you need a quality 4 wheel alignment garage with an operator that knows his stuff.

Front tyres, not sure how quick, but I think just a few thousand. I had passed info on, and I think its in the dealer today for them to look at again.
Thanks

Front only, 6000 miles.
Dealer could find no fault, and took measurements of tyres and stored them telling him to come back in 2000 miles so they can look at the tyres.

Just an update to this one.
After a few visits to Dealer and finding nothing wrong Citroen became involved and the Dealer suddenly found the tracking 1ml out one side and a few the other, and Citroen have paid for two new Michelin Tyres on the front. So hopefully sorted. Took a while eh?

I'd remain cynical until tyre wear proves me otherwise. :/

Yeah my brother is as unconvinced.
He has been told that for Berlingos that have this issue Citroen have told their dealers to jus say its a characteristic of the vehicle.
