Result! Old V6 looking good for 200K
Passed the MOT today with no advisories, just a comment on the insignificant LHM bleed around OSR sphere (which CitroJim spotted on the pre-MOT a couple of weeks ago and) which requires no immediate action.
Recent engine oil, filter and 50% ATF change keep the good times rolling. Average MPG over the 22 months and 18K miles of mixed duties since I've been the owner is 26, with 33 achievable on long runs (with a good deal of dual carriageway work - gives a range of 400+ miles per tank).
Jim and I are very pleased.

That, from my point of view is a bit of an understatement Paul...PavlosV6 wrote: Jim and I are very pleased.

Yaay. Nice one! Jim really does know how to fix an auto box then!
As for MPG, I remember bringing my V6 Xantia back from scotland, I took it easy and steady, only because old L reg TD was following behind and managed around 34mpg.. I was rather impressed with that. And that was with a dodgy coil pack where she would run on 5 now and again. However, once home and doiing normal stop start driving I was looking at around 25mpg.
Im still thinking about my V6, prehaps seeing another 12 months service - in a tatty state. I think prehaps the works Ratty the 3rd (Taken from Rativa 1 and 2) .. BUT this is just thoughts in the sky!
