The gearchange is getting increasingly vague, especially for finding 1st......more usually reverse ! [-o<

I'm assuming it has a cable arrangement that is getting worn, or linkages.......

Can anyone suggest what might be wrong, and what I should look for ?

This morning, I thought 'might as well sort the pre/post heating fault' check and replace the dodgy glow plugs, had a quick look to see if there were any tips on you tube, think I'll give it a miss for a day or two or three...…………. :(

More problems! Went to start my C5 after a couple of idle weeks & it started but ran awfully & cut out after about 15 seconds. It wouldn't restart. I have recharged the battery & done a BSI reset but it still won't go. Turns over but no sign of starting. Also I have a number of electrical items not working; heating, windows mirrors, wipers etc....

I get quite a few '' Risk of particle filter clogging'' Messages pop up. Even after a motorway run in 5th gear to keep engine speed up.

Any advice going off the photos enclosed., I have cleared the faults numerous times and even tried a non gen pressure sensor, that one also caused a different fault to pop up so I changed it back.

Well, so far she has been good, but last weekend I got my first recurring faultcodes.

A bit of background. I was on the highway and had to pass a car. Just as I passed the car at almost full throttle back to 4th gear I felt a loss of power, engine light and emission fault. Got home and checked the codes which was P1164 Fuel pressure...

My suspension was feeling a soft so checked fluid level via the Lexia - was about a litre short , so topped up and felt much better

However after a long run the pressure cap is losing fluid from the pinhole in the center - cap fault or something else ?
