Abs sensors on c4 Picasso 1.6 bluehdi - do they fit both sides?

I'm asking as I got a wheel hub replaced (another cock up from a tyre house cross threading a bolt resulting in in being snapped off in the hub) and this mechanics whilst replacing the hub somehow managed to damage the abs sensor on it causing all kinds of error messages, hand brake, abs, engine fault(does that sound abs related??), hill assist etc

Today they were replacing the abs sensor. After they "repaired" it. I started it for the same messages to flash up once again.

They claim they ordered abs sensor for the wrong side? I checked online for parts and it seems that the front ones are for left/right ie no individual parts for left and right. Surely they can't have ordered the rear for the front??

Has anyone changed this part before and encountered similar problems? How was it resolved? Any advice appreciated.

The sensors are different for front and rear but the same for each axle left and right.

Functions like cruise and hill start assist and handbrake are all controlled by the ESP ECU, so whilst that is not happy you will have those other errors

Just a thought, dont know if it was a complete hub assembly or not that was replaced or just the flange with the threads for the wheel bolts. if it was just the flange the wheel bearing would need replaced at the same time, is it possible the wheel bearing is round the wrong way & the magnetic pickup on the bearing is now on the outside? this can show up as a sensor fault as it wont see speed info on that sensor.

Back again. It seems they got thwle wrong part AGAIN! Is there any way I can find out the exact part required and pass that information on to them?
