Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Having partially fixed my DPF regeneration issue (so far all okay but still blowing a cloud of dark smoke on take off), Diag global test comes up with a permanent fault P1351 pre/post relay heating circuit / glow plugs.

3008 boot not unlocking/opening

Hi

I have a 2010 3008, the boot has all of a sudden stopped unlocking therefore I cannot open it. The fob and the interior unlock button doesn't open it. Is there any way I can get it back open? Is there a fuse that may have blown preventing the solenoid from working?

Thanks. I had to butcher the catch to get to said lever you mentioned. Managed to get it open. Cannot find any broken wires. Not sure where to look next. Could there be a fuse blown? Hi, Facing a problem with my Peugeot boxer currently where when it is cold there is a rattle, it comes from the top of the engine but seems to come from the whole top of the block. Once the engine is warm there is no rattle/very little rattle. First thoughts were timing chain, but if you read on you will see why with think this is not the case....

Will try the transit search, i know that there was an oil pump recall on transits around 2015, which would be a very similar engine to this one.

5.jpg I have the 'shearing centre' type of 4 pin locking wheel nuts on my Peugeot 207cc and they aren't budging.
Any kind of serious torque using a breaker bar causes the key to 'cam out'.

Im going to be refreshing the chains/oil pump in my 2.2 2015 Boxer. Stealership price is coming out north of £320 for the pump alone (thanks once again Marc!), Autodoc have Pierburg unit for £65.

Im not sure if they are the OEM supplier for the oil pumps for these engines, but i know they are an OEM manufacturer for many other...

Problem solved ! It was the radiator fan resistor that fits on the front. The resistor legs are exposed and corroded away. It controls low and high speed, if it breaks the engine goes into limp mode.

Nightmare Peugeot boxer

Hi I am wondering if anyone can help me I have a Peugeot boxer 2019 2.0 euro 6 it keeps coming up with the faults in the photo . I have changed map sensor , turbo boost sensor , engine wiring loom , turbo , all vacuum pipes , egr and throttle body . Any help would be greatly appreciated as it’s about to find out what a can of petrol and a lighter...

New to the forum. I have a 2010 Peugeot expert teepee 1.6hdi. Annoyingly the lower radiator hose burst off while driving and the engine overheated. I have not yet tried to see if it will turn over but I suspect the damage will be extensive and a new engine required. #-o

Peugeot 206 auto. Speedo goes off and lumpy gear change

2003 (multiplexed) Peugeot 206 automatic.
For a few weeks its been randomly loosing its speedo accompanied by lumpy gear shifts. Got more frequent so ordered and fitted a new output shaft sensor for the AL4 autobox but its made no difference. Any ideas?

Hi ozvtr,
Car is an 03 plate with a tu3 1.4i engine, there's no abs so nowhere else any form of speed reference signal can come from except the output shaft sensor on the AL4, there wasn't the slightest dought in my mind so I just ordered and fitted it. (silly me, its a Peugeot!). There's no green/yellow wire but could have been lost over time....

Hi .. a bit of background first

I've had my 2012 207 1.6 HDI 92 from 2013 when it had done 12k .. its now on 85k and regularly serviced by myself as a mechanical fitter.

For some time it has had a nasty smoking habit .. mostly black with a little blue on start up. It gradually got worse and ended up with DPF at risk of clogging message coming...

This is the colour of my coolant... looks muddy... Thought it was supposed to be a vibrant colour.

I have two 308 t7 and both by VIN number have ELECTROCHROMATIC DAY-NIGHT INTERIOR MIRROR but they are quite different!

The older ones had a switch to turn the electrochrome function on or off, but later ones have a sensor to detect the light entering the vehicle from the rear and darkens automatically. When reverse gear is selected, it then lightens automatically for the manoeuvre.

So checked the diesel pump and both solenoids (no 19 and 20) seem to work okay (eg pulled No 20 out and tested on 12 volts and move in and out , multlimeter shows connectivity with No 19 under the pump connected by a wiring loom which would need to pump removed to get to it).

Replaced the pressure sensor with a new one just in case.

Restarted...

I am seeking to clean a few things in my engine, namely: the glow plugs, the inlet manifold, and fuel injectors.
To do this, it appears I need to remove a very solid metal bar/cylinder over the engine that I believe is some airflow (after the turbo?) cylinder.
Can someone help answer: can I remove this and then how? I have unscrewed the hose...

From experience, unless something is not working / you have codes on Diag, I would not touch it.

There are two bolts you need to remove that hold the pipe.

Bolt 1 - 10mm attached to the diesel filter

Bolt 2 - 13mm under the turbo tube
