Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Hi All,

I am planning to perform a coolant flush on my C3.

I am struggling to figure out the right coolant.

It's a C3 (A51) 5 DOOR SALOON 1.6 VTi 16v 120 - 2011 model.

I currently show green/blue coolant in the coolant reservoir.

Can someone please point me in the right direction? Will any Glysantin G30 coolant be fine for my car?

The original PSA coolant which is mixed with distilled water to the appropriate concentrate, part numbers and quantities:

9735K4 -1L
9735K1 - 2L
9735K0 -5L
9735j9 - 20l
9735j8 - 210l

Although the coolant in your system (if original) states it doesn't need changing as it is long life with rust inhibitors, many do change this. As part of Citroen...

This button is listed in my handbook as a lane departure or anti intrusion button. I've never bothered with it it's always had the red light showing and pressing it does nothing.
The icon on it is not the lane departure icon so.......any suggestions? Why is the light on?

Hello,

I've recently bought a C5 break exclusive with the 136hp 2.2 hdi. It has been mostly fine besides all the spheres going hard a week after I got it (just enough time to get me used to the soft ride and then take it away) and some other minor issues like the auto wipers going crazy but this is making me slightly worried as I haven't heard...

There weren't any bubbles at all and the fluid did not drop any more. The side spheres really must be going bad. I will replace them anyway as I already have some new comfort ifhs spheres and I'm now just waiting for the sphere removal tool because taking them off without it is really annoying.

Hi, I have the offside indicator four times then stopping, near side absolutely fine. Headlights coming on in good light (auto mode). Wipers coming on by themselves for no reason.

VIN number as per previous threads that I have started, wondering which unit I need. Confident it is the Comms2000. Not sure if it has ESP?

Parking sensor sounds are working. But there are no signal turning sounds and seat belt sounds (Indicator Ticking Sounds). Checked voices on Lexia program. Seem clear. Where should we check? (Speaker or buzzer and where?)

I've just recently retrofitted folding mirrors to my 65plate ds3. I took all the parts from a 66plate ds3.
I knew this car had the folding switch option as it had a different door switch to mine.
So I removed the doorwiring from the donar car along with the mirrors and switches and fitted to my car.

I have a feeling the grade of material used in the filters is down to the fact the 2.0hdi DW10 can do extended 2 year oil changes and so is designed to cope. Stick to 'conventional' 1 year/12k oil changes and the 'normal' filter media will suffice. It seems that just about all of the usual filter manufacturer/suppliers only supply 1109ck...

Hi I have a 2011 Citroen C4 Picasso and I am having trouble with water getting into the boot it is on the passenger side and it is dripping down above where the torch is situated any ideas where it could be coming in thanks

Several possibilities: It could be the W eather seal from either side of the rear quarter light panels (depending on the side the water is coming in) or from the tailgate seal.

You’ll have to try and trace it back or inspecting the seals to see if you can find any sign of water.

Hi

I'm new here and already read posts regarding similar problem.

I already replace the alternator and respective components, new battery, and serpentine belt and water pump.

I have reads of 12 to 14.1 but then after switch the engine off nad on again it reads 11.8 and lower.

Battery connections are all cleaned.

I've run the PSA software...

Hi All,

Attached is the picture of the sump plug for my Citroen C3.

I thought I could use a 21 size socket to loosen that up but looks like it needs a...

Memory could be playing tricks with me but ISTR that I had the correct 3/8 drive key in my toolbox (to fit my socket set) and as I only have a 5mm and an 8mm it would have to be one of those. If pushed I would guess it's the 8mm.

You were right. It took an 8mm hex socket.

So the solution was the replacement of the 40A fuse on the right side of the battery. I missed that one unfortunately. I've seen several posts related to this fuse issue and most anytime there were two errors coming in DB for the rear and front height sensor. Not a single for a rear only. But doesnt matter. Most important that its working...

Am finding it impossible to find replacement U clips for fixing original mud flaps on Xsara hatch. Have tried umpteen places including Screwfix, Euro Car Parts, several other motor factors in person & online, eBay etc. Citroen dealer says they are no longer available

I'm a new member I own a citroen xantia 1.8i forte abs light staying purchased a laptop with lexia already loaded I can get as far as putting in my model and vin number and that is as far as it goes I have used it on Peugeot van which was a bit newer than my xantia which is registered 2000 the is supposed to do older citroens .the system is lexia...

I have 2012 Dispatch, only have manual keys 1x original 1 x aftermarket.

Cannot unlock drivers door, with either keys, however can unlock rear with both keys.

Can lock drivers door with keys but no relay clicking hazzards coming on etc.

Can hear relays and Hazzards flash when locking/unlocking from rear.

Kind of annoying when you want to get...

I need to replace the right hand CV boot. It's been a while since I did the Citroen, so I can't recall how the CV comes adrift.... #-o

Does the end just come apart from a spring clip or is it held together with a circlip & needs a circlip pliers?

Stretch boot & cone all day long.

Mate of mine was having real hassle trying to get one of those over the cone until I showed him the sneaky way.... Paint the cone with copper grease, then spray it with WD40. FOOM! :cd: The boot was on. He'd tried all manner of lubricant, including Pledge :-D But nothing worked. Try it 8-)

Yes, this is the other aspect, you have to wait 30-60 seconds with the car on LOW and engine running, then engine OFF and finally opening the release screw.

I checked my LDS level in the reservoir of my C5 X7 today with the suspension on the low setting and I couldnt see any fluid. As a result I decided to top it up with Total LDS (Orange Colour) fluid and after a litre had gone in I began thinking to myself that I am doing this wrong!.

exchanging my old airco switch unit as the knobs are starting to desintegrate. Found a nice one in Poland coming with the bezel and all switches (esp off, P off, lock doors). It has however the following extra's:

button with citroen mark (do not know if it is a button or just a blank)
button with red SOS mark

Anybody know what these are for?...

It's not a factory-fitted system you have then, as your VIN states quite clearly no navigation system.

But interestingly, it also does not have any recognised PSA Head Unit for the Audio, or multifunction display screen listed either. The only thing I can see is that there s a 'Frequency for Japan' setting - but the actual audio stuff is not...

Ok, when I did my dashcam project, I did start off using a permanent live and regretted it - as I kept forgetting to manually switch off the dash cams (dual camera system) and kept getting a flat battery! Not a good idea.

I have a 2011 C5 X7 2.0 HDi with the engine management light on

A quick check with my USB code reader reveals P2084

Could this be a sensor - any one else had this issue ?

I had given it a run down the Motorway in the hope that it might clear - but no luck

Hi All,
I have a 2007 C8 2.2 hdi and its has developed a coolant leak at the Engine Water Intake.
I have been told the Part no is 1336R0
Citroen dealership have advised that this part is no longer available.
Does anyone know where I can get one in hurry?

Looking at the image i uploaded on my first post and the image on the link on ebay they look like different items. There are 2 pipes on mine that hoses look like they clamp on however on the link on ebay there is only one section that looks like the hose can be clamped on. I don't want to order the wrong part. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before. My middle seatbelt does not pull out and is sort of locked so it can’t be used. There must be something wrong with the barrel.

While doing my recent service I noticed a couple of pipes at the back that will need attention soon, the High pressure pipe, which I have cleaned and undersealed to slow down the corrosion. the other pipe is a low pressure return pipe which seems to have started to split.

Did you find the part number for the hose?

It's 5mm, and in my case I used a 6mm fuel hose. Depressurization was not needed, since it's a return line. Hose seemed fine in the rubber, but was cracked in 4 places - so it was not possible to cut 1cm in one end.

Hi all,

Ijust bought a 1999 Xsara West Coast, 40k on the clock for £500, looks brand new.

The only thing I've noticed and not sure if you have experienced the same but the clutch and accelerator almost 'stick' sometimes. Not sure if this a problem that needs fixing or just a quirk with the old Citroen's and just something I have to get used to....

The gearbox is secondhand, 2,000kms/ 6 months ago. Gear oil is 75w 80, brand new as changed it a week ago to see if that was the problem. Level is perfect and old oil was clean. Clutch is valeo and was changed with gearbox. Clutch pedal is high though (cable?).

Occasionally it won’t come out of gear. It doesn’t happen every day, it’s usually 4th...
