Hello, so the car in question is a 2012 C5 2.0 HDi
It developed an issue where when you would hard accelerate, a message "Risk of particle filter clogging" would pop up with the SERVICE light on, which would be on for 15 seconds. It was like that for months but I ignored it (foolish I know), then one day some 2 weeks ago check engine light would be on and my car would barely accelerate after 2000 rpm or so, got it to a shop, he hooked it up to the OBD, 9 fault codes and a 70% clogged DPF. He said it's got those 9 fault codes cause of the safe mode itself. Anyway, cleaned the DPF (in a machine), cleared the codes and he said he forced a regeneration which went totally fine.
Now it still turns on safe mode BUT until I stop, after that it accelerates completely fine but the light is still on. Also the Risk of particle filter clogging message pops up anyway during hard acceleration (e.g. highway). I don't get what is the problem, obviously I'll go back to the mechanic but I would like to know does anyone have any idea about this?
Thanks

Re: DPF and some electrics issue
No need for any help, apparently the DPF is structurally bad, and it can't be fixed no matter how many times it's cleaned or something.

Re: DPF and some electrics issue
Could be 3 things:
1) Yes, your DPF is way past end of service life and has become so clogged up (anything past 70%) that it can no longer regenerate.
2) The removing and cleaning process was too rough and they have damaged the filter or the bonding cement and therefore ruined it.
3) They have cleaned it and not told the engine ECU that a new DPF has been replaced (even after cleaning you need to do this), so it still thinks it is end of life.
