Citroen C5 2011

Unread post by Yooda »

Last week my car showed an engine fault and the power went away and it didnt drive at full speed anymore. When i turned the car off it didnt show it in the morning and it has been driving fine ever since exept it started to show Engine temperature too high! Stop the vehicle! This light now comes on once every time i drive and goes away a minute after showing up. The mechanic told that it showed that the light has been on but didnt show the code. What could be the problem?

What engine and gearbox is fitted? How many miles has the vehicle done?

Can you get the code off the mechanic?

I find it hard to believe there's no code if an error is flagged up on the vehicle display. That suggests that the mechanic either doesn't know what he's doing or that the code reader isn't high enough specification.
