There is a knocking noise from my GP steering rack when i am travelling on bumpy roads. They knocking seems to be getting worse over the last few weeks.

I checked all bushings etc and they are all fine.

A mechanic discovered play in the steering rack of my C4, that he believed was likely the track rod ends, but it's since been confirmed it's play from the steering rack itself. If you can get hold of a set, leather seats from a top-of-the-range Xantia make for a fantastic upgrade, especially if you have well worn Alcantara seats.

Not only do they look nice, the electric controls make them infinitely adjustable and they are incredibly comfortable :lol:

I'm having a bit of an intermittent fault. Somethimes when I open the drivers door the interior light doesn't come on, the seat doesn't move back and the central locking remains locked for the other doors. As I say it's very intermittent but quite annoying when it does it :(

I think the alternator has finally gone kaput on my Dispatch, strangely the battery light comes on and a message about charge/electrical supply shows in the display but then it sometimes goes out again, although its definitely not charging at all as I've had a meter across the battery.

I've got mine on the bench and have removed the internals of the pump which look to be in fine condition. However, I can't work out how to get the pump main shaft out. I don't really want to go at it with a big blunt object and risk damaging it!

I've installed a Citroen/Webasto Thermo Top Evo auxiliary heater (9687946580) in my car, which was factory fitted in another Citroen C5 (X7) from the same year (2012), same engine (DW12C) and it was previously checked, so it had no problems.
I already had the original wiring in place, so I just had to install the heater and the fuel pump....

My C5 Exclusive (reg GL08PLJ) has decided to not warm up - of course, it's nearly winter! It suddely stopped (A/C is OK) so I suspect a blown fuse.

There seems to be an additional heater in the diesels, but the handbook doesn't tell me where it is or which fuse feed it is on...

Now I have issue with DPF (clogged). AdBlue is necessary in the maintenance of the DPF?
My local service didn't find the FAP additive tank, so we think in BlueHDi there is no FAP additive tank anymore and just AdBlue needed for DPF...
