Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
What controls the trigger(single gray wire on top) for the suspension pump on a 2006 c6. If I power it, the pump runs. Otherwise the pump will not run at all and has message “suspension fault” and “ESP/ASR fault”(but in Dutch) I’d also like to know how to change the vehicle display to English, but the pump is my main concern:). TIA!

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
Or do I maybe have to relearn the suspension ecu for height and that? Pump and motor and module have all been changed as a whole unit

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
You didn't tell what kind of C6 you talking about.
Beware there are different types of suspension.
This means, that the motor unit must be the same, otherwise you have to replace the BHI from the original motor.
Greetings,
Kees

It is a 2006 c6. I think just a base model? I’m not too sure… you don’t see these in Canada at all. I believe it is the first c6 in Canada.

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
These C6 have several engines for example 2.0 and 3.0 petrol and also diesel engine, about the suspension, this depends on the engine also, but there are 2 big difference between the 2.0 and 3.0. The 3.0 petrol and 2 7/3.0 diesel have Amvar (variable damping).
The last one has a totally different BHI on the pomp motor.

This one is a petrol motor But I cannot identify if it is 2.7 or 3.0.. how would you do so?

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
Sorry I read that incorrect. It is a v6 so I would think 3.0

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
If it makes a difference, front bumper was removed for paint, and upon reinstallation, the car would no longer lift off the ground at all. Then like I said pump/motor/module/reservoir was all replaced as a unit, and no difference car still won’t lift

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
If it's is the unit is the same as the original one.
When you replaced it and fill with the LDS fluid, you have to apply 0.5 bar at the reservoir, otherwise you get no pressure from the pomp.
But I read your first post again and understand that the problem appears after disassemble the front bumper.
The 3.0 have 4 height sensor on the lower suspension arms.
I think you have to look into them, if there's something wrong with the mechanical connection or the Wiring.

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
They have 4 on the front? I only identified 2… guess I will have to take a closer look. Maybe the 0.5 bar of pressure is my issue, I was trying to bleed the spheres but wasn’t getting a whole lot of pressure

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
I mean all 4 suspension arms.
It's right, that there is no pressure, because the pomp is not working.
Was there no problem with the height/suspension before disassembled the front bumper?

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
If all they've done is remove the bumper and after that the suspension didn't rise, I struggle to understand how the pump itself can have failed - not impossible, but that's a huge coincidence?
My starting point would be to see if they've damaged the wiring loom to the pump, or any of the hydraulic lines around it, not re-connected something correctly or somehow shorted something out and blown a fuse?
Or damaged wiring/height sensors/suspension arms from jacking it up incorrectly?
Those *feel* like the more likely scenario?
(Though if the pump has been changed then obviously that does now call up whether it's the right part and getting it bled it afterwards, absolutely!)

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
It's difficult to understand what went wrong if the car is not under my hand.
It's a very complicated system.
But if everything was fine before, but you say, the pomp start when you apply voltage to the white wire.
This signal comes from the BHI, but the information for the BHI comes from the CCS computer in the black box under the hood and this computer get the signals from the height sensors and several other sensors.
So a question, if you force the pomp motor to work with voltage on the white wire what kind of sound you hear?

Re: Citroen C6 Suspension pump…
I was thinking about something else, behind the mud protector in right front, there is a stiffness regulator with a sphere on it, there's a 2 pin connector on it, if there is a problem, then you get this message on the dashboard, perhaps there is oxidation.
