Dpf additive and diagbox

I’ve just refilled my fuel additive and now attempting to reset the counter using diagbox
Unfortunately I can’t get any further than ‘vci not connected’
I’ve used this particular laptop set up a few times in the past and never had this issue
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
I’m using diag v7.57 and the car is 2008 c5x7 2ltr hdi

Ok, managed to get into diagbox after umpteenth try
Still can’t find the additive level though

Think I might have cracked it. It wanted quantified additive, in grams. I filled it with 3ltrs, so I put 3000 as a quantity. Does that sound right to everyone or have I ballsed it up now. The fault on the dash seems to have gone though
