Given the number of 'After-sales campaign' notices concerning Takarta Airbags I have been made aware of when looking up parts from PSA for members, I thought I would post a link to the following documentary that may be informative concerning the issue with these igniters.

Disruption to Parts Service

Hi
New to the forum.
I have a 2012 16 diesel 3008 sportium.
I have a problem with the display not popping up or closing, is this a common issue with a fix ?
Secondly does anyone have and is able to share the latest firmware and maps etc ... any advice or links are very much appreciated.
Thanks

We don't share any maps here and as for the firmware updates, the recommendation is to get a firmware update CD from your dealer to prevent upgrading issues from copies that is well known to cause problems.

The common failure of the motorised retractable display can be the wearing of the plastic gears, or that some small object has got into the...

This is not an official map that you have, as officially, they supply the SD card itself when you purchase it, so there is no copying of files needed.

So wherever you have 'obtained' your map from, I suggest you go back to them for support

Not that I'm aware of and likely to be another subtle issue with non-official map use. Afternoon all. I'm new here so hoping I am posting in the correct forum. 2 things really which I hope are simple. I need to know how to replace the bulb in the faulty temperature display as per attachment. Also a third of the panel of the sat nav seems faint, sometimes it's black but sometimes faded. Loose connection possibly?

Last post

You can try wiggling the 3 connectors for the aircon control panel, but I think you might find the display is borked. The rotary knobs are normally what go on these - one or the other of them won't turn the temp up or down properly.
Here's the diagrams for removal of the unit so you can check the connectors.

Ok, I understand - but you also have to appreciate that an impact can have consequences for electronic control units and sensitive electronics that are crammed into these cars. You have anywhere up to 20 ECUs scattered about the vehicle and any impact can damage these - it's another reason why the insurance company will tend to write off cars more...

Hi all,

Long time since my last visit, but I am still running my 2009 1.6 Hdi C5 / X7 Tourer.

My Harman Becker RNEG 3 BE6450 navigation system has been playing up for years, but has now become unusable, with the long-term 'random rebooting' problem now getting worse and the unit often failing to display the map data at all unless given a...

C5 MayWay Nav

by PeteHuckle » 13 Nov 2019, 14:06

First post

Hello, new to this forum so seeking some guidance please.

I have a C5 estate 2009, great car but having issues with the MyWay Nav system.

When I try and bluetooth my phone it asks for a code to connect-any ideas?

There is a lot of info on the Nav system that I want to clear, so how can you do that?

I can set the time but not the date-again any...

Last post

I have a feeling the online version for the C5 is a bit pants - as it only provides some sections and not the complete manual.

I have a PDSf of the complete manual which includes the MyWay system in PDF format. Let me know if you want this and I can send the PDF to your registered email.

Hi All,

Can anyone please tell me how to set the Home Location on the MyWay RNEG in my 2010 Citroen C4 Picasso.

Many Thanks

Peter

Last post

Yes. First Enter your home address as the destination for a journey and save the entry as ‘Home’ in your address book.

Then enter a destination as if you were going in a new trip and search ‘Home’ from recent destinations or select from the address book. Then you can select the option menu and scroll down until you find the option ‘set as home...

I'm asking this as from the SCDB the versionhazard file is dated 01.02.2011 and the hazardareas.lwd is dated the latest. Thanks!

Hi! My navigation system it's showing me the next values for the SCDB speedcams:
- for 20 mph - 19 mph
- for 30 mph - 25 mph
- for 40 mph - 37 mph
- for 70 mph - 56 mph
I have the latest firmware (R50b_R50.03). I spoke with the SCDB admin and they don't know why and how to fix the issue. Did anyone have / had the same problem? Any ideas on how...

I've also looked into the LWD format with those tools and gave up as the files have checksums so any alteration and they won't compile. Some uf us were trying ti amend the radar zones and add personalised speed traps - but the failed to work so we resigned ourselves that without the appropriate software we can't amend them.

Latest maps for the RNEG system

by crapday69 » 13 Oct 2018, 22:14

Hi all

I see ebay sellers are selling 2018 maps for my system but when you look on Citroens site they are selling 2016-2 maps. What is the latest maps system with the RNEG system and will they have the updated M8 and the new Forth crossing bridge.

Gary.

Not sure what extras would be included in a Citroen purchase but have received the map SD card, put it in and works fine, will need to give it a week or so for the boy to try out the Navigation but so far a thumbs up.

Hi all,

I’m looking for someone in the Dorset area ( Poole /Bournemouth) who can connect my LCD to my SatNav.

I’ve done the VIN and can sort all the rest of the install, just have no idea how to connect the brown cable ( that connected to the LCD) to the head unit to receive power, beyond my remit.

Any help or suggestions would be great,...

C5 SatNav lost map

by Johnno » 18 Apr 2019, 20:24

Hi, I've read some of the previous posts on this subject and I have a similar problem I'm hoping someone can shed some light on. Not long ago the SatNav stopped showing the progress of the vehicle i.e. it would show the whole route but the vehicle arrow never moved from the point of origin. I did a factory re-set which appeared to fix the problem,...

GPS syncronisation

by ADY-ULTRAS » 10 Apr 2019, 15:33

First post

Hi guys! I noticed yesterday that the data on the display is 24.08.2099. I reset the data but when I check the gps syncronisitation box it goes back to 24.08.2099. Today I reset the system to factory settings but the problem persists, today I'm on 25.08.2099. Does anyone have any solution for this?

Last post

Oh yes always (complicated somewhat with the battery being in the boot on my C5!)! I only noticed it as I have never had to do it before when disconnecting the battery - although maybe before I have left the car longer before driving it which has given the unit the time to initialise fully.

At least it knows where home is.

Will be going to Teesside next weekend so will see if it can find it's way there.

It knew when I was at my son's house - ¼ mile away (1 mile to drive there).
It hasn't been there before :)

Just a quick question
Do you need to disconnect the battery to remove the radio.
Not to replace it but to see if something has dropped down below it into the depths of the centre console.
Thanks in advance

radio console crashing **FIX**

by crapday69 » 21 Oct 2018, 15:37

Well it looks like I have fixed the constant problem of my radio and associated peripherals crashing on a cold morning. This would happen a good few times and if it lasted longer than about 10 minutes it deleted my settings meaning having to reset the time/date and the radio presets. The problem I was having was the stupid satnav SD card. Since I...

Ok, so first thing is I need to ascertain your firmware version and the version of your maps if possible, but the map data I’m not too worried about.

Then I might be able to help you out.

Citroen C5 2009 resetting/Bluetooth?

Hi.

My Citroen C5 2009 has been resetting at random times and I've no idea why. Everything stays the same, but just annoying really.

Software version: rneg_D_r20ter_r20.07

There's an SD card in the front of the panel, which is the navigation system, is that where the firmware is installed? Does it need an update?

Also would a firmware update...

Hi

The MyWay system you have does not support Bluetooth Streaming - only the telephone and address book synchronising.

The CD does support playing MP3 CDs - so you can cram quite a few MP3 tracks onto a single CD - just make sure you format it as an MP3 CD when creating it. You can get a hundred plus tracks on depending on size and bit rate.

As...
