Hi all
I came across this you tube video regarding the myway head unit and music play back.
I cannot see if the phone has a aux lead connected (although the socket is usually at the top of the phone)
So the question is
Is the myway capable of streaming music from the mobile phone via Bluetooth using the latest software update?
Thank you
Regards
Steve

Re: Myway musicb
Ignore that video, it’s not a standard unit, he has modified the hardware
The MyWay doesn’t stream music via Bluetooth, nor will it play media files via the SD card.
Only the AUX input can be used to connect to a media player, which is in the glovebox if fitted.
No software update will change this Steve.
If you see any references to the MyWay playing Media files in your owners handbook, ignore that too, as it was an error and has been removed from subsequent versions of the handbook.

Am i correct in saying that if aux is not installed, then i need to get an oem cable and activate aux through software afterwards? Any chance of oem number for that cable?GiveMeABreak wrote: 24 May 2020, 22:56

Re: Myway music
Check to see if you have the AUX sockets in your glovebox. Also, be aware that these provide no controls for track selection or anything fancy - they are Audio and or video RCA connectors and only provide rudimentary sound. So will play the source as it is - no forwarding of tracks or track selection.

Re: Myway music
I can't check it yet. However through working aux its possible to attach a decent bluetooth receiver with its own controls. Would you know the part number for the cable, by any chance?

Re: Myway music
There is no cable listed under parts for your 407. It would of been integrated into one of the two 12 pin wiring connectors at the back of the unit.

Re: Myway music
Yatour bluetooth -box imitates cd-changer and is connected to cd-changer connector. You can change tracks on phone via steering wheel controls. RD4 -version works also with MyWay.
