Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

I'm in the process of troubleshooting the AC system on my C8. I have sufficient gas pressure, but the compressor clutch does not kick in. I have probed the wires going to the compressor clutch, and there is no power to it. So, there seems to be an electrial fault somewhere. Hello. A small drip started today in the passenger footwell. I licked it, so I’m fairly sure it’s clean water. My antifreeze is pink, sweet and so I don’t think it’s the heater matrix. I can buy a Citroen C5 estate for quite silly money. It's a 1.6 HDi seller says it needs tyres and wishbones. I like the look of it but I have heard stories about them being high maintenance. Any comments welcome, thanks!

Has anyone got any brake disc locating screws? I changed the discs and pads on my Dispatch and on one side I dropped one screw and lost it, the other one is a bit dodgy as the torx fitting was slightly stripped.

& get stainless ones - so you never have this problem again: they don't get enough use to wear - but they are very vulnerable, & will virtually rust away.

Freeing agent of choice is a given, removal tool of choice has to be a good quality 1/4 drive, walldrive socket & a fine ratchet.

Can anyone please help as I’ve just bought a 2005 Citroen C4 1.4 Petrol which has had the engine light on which reads Anti Pollution and Speed Control Faulty.? I had a full service and even changed the spark plugs but the car has actually stopped driving or even starting up now with these faults coming up always.?

Anybody Help 2008 Plate/C3 - Intermittently Engine Cuts-Out...Any Ideas.

Greetings all fellow Citroen owners.

Recently purchased 2008 plate 'C3' & has problem - where engine just cuts out on occasion (hugely embarrassing & dangerous).

I've just been for a drive in my C5. It has the 2.2 DW12 BTED4 173 biturbo engine, as fitted to some C6's, not the earlier TED4 engine. Hi. I was checking the oil on my 2005 Berlingo (2 litre hdi) when I noticed the dipstick pipe was loose..then it came off in my hand. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it an easy fix? Thanks.

Yes, it's very real probability that it'll be worked off. And then there will be a terrible oil mess to clear up in the engine bay. The bonnet insulation is incredibly difficult (near impossible) to reclaim. I speak from experience!

Hi

This is my first post so, please, go easy on me :)

I was sat in my Citroen Nemo when it seemed to wobble ,then stall.

After a few minutes it stopped again, and would do this a few times before finally I had to resort to calling the RAC.

He waggled a few ECU wires, sprayed a bit of cleaning fluid here and there. It started but not kept...

Afternoon folks - our 2008 C4GP has now got pretty crusty sills, the passenger side probably needs a patch below the front door but the drivers side probably needs the whole side done. Looking at older xsara picassos, sill corrosion does seem to be an issue (many seem to be welded up!) and i've noticed quite a few C4 picassos with bubbly sills and...

Hello. Fred starts fine except she rattles madly. Sounds like a loose exhaust, it’s very loud. Once started it’s quiet. With a warm engine the rattle at startup is not as bad but is still there. The exhaust is secure.

I’m wondering if an engine mount would cause this?

I just bled all my brakes and on tightening the last bleed nipple it sheared straight off.
Does anyone know what the part number is or what kind of bleed nipple a C15 2003 1.9. takes?

Thanks, but I only professed to total ignorance of the product - but then did do a little research to cure that. Never did look at availability though - &, looking at the price, think I'll stick to copper (or ally for stainless). I'll keep an eye out at autojumbles though.

Hi.

During the winter my A/C died. First, it worked on/off, meaning it would actually cool. Later the cooling effect completely stopped. Had it checked and it was leaking and the compressor was most likely dead as well since a refill didn't do the trick and it kept leaking.

The centre console on my C5 X7 (Hydractive 3+) has developed a very annoying and obvious creaking.

This happens all the time while driving or pressing a leg up against it.
It is almost as if the entire plastic is creaking itself and not at any joint, has anyone else had this problem, are there an obvious fix?

Mine doesn't / hasn't ever done that. I suspect it might be down to heat stress.... I do have the cream leather interior, so the light coloured trim which might reflect some of the heat.

Hello! Just bought my first French car of any description, a 1995 xantia of unknown spec. First thing to do is to carry out a reprogramming procedure on the gear change & clutch auctuators again.
Anytime you do this you should have another running car connected to the battery with jump leads, if you dont do this i find the procedure almost always fails as the procedure is very power hungry & causes the battery voltage to drop too low....

Update to help anyone with similar issue.......
Problem returned. Found could instigate limp mode by twisting loom at ECU when warm. Got a wiring diagram from begrudging Citroen dealer. Traced problem to poor connection on pin 44 of ECU which only manifest itself when hot. Pin 44 is the constant live to the throttle hence upsetting the 2 track...

I have a 2008 Relay 2.2 hdi. When I start it from cold or warm, it runs lumpy and blows out diesel white smoke. When its fully warm, it runs perfectly, good MPG, smooth idle, and just passed emissions test. So the Xantias let herself down and decided to stick oil into my nice new rad, matrix and the rest of the cooling system. I bypassed the oil cooler and flushed however there is still a lot of oil collecting, enough that my top hose was solid (think the stats jammed up with it as well)

I'm certain it's HGF, but looking around it seems to be a pig...

Guys, i have an errant bolt I can't place. Its a torx t30, dome head about 2cm long, black. It's a bit oily so should have been somewhere south of the head but it's in the pile of bolts with the engine lift points/thermo housing so came out around those but I bloody can't figure it out.

Nevermind, think its one of the bolts for the expansion...

Our beloved C8 has had an issue with the driver window since we bought it a few weeks ago:
Upon closing the window, one can hear there is still force being applied after the window is completely shut.
I was told this could be corrected by doing the window down completely and holding the control button for 3 seconds and then do it again on...

Hello. Have 2006 1.6 Hdi C4 which has been sitting in yard for a number of months. Started it yesterday and ABS warning comes on. Checked on a computer and it describes fault as Solenoid Supply Valve . Does this mean I need to change ABS unit? Or could it be the wiring? If I need to change it does it have to be coded in?Thanks

So for the last 2 years the garage that does my servicing mentioned a slight oil leak from rear of engine, slight to me just meant a little weeping, the odd drip maybe, well it has been about two months since it's last service and the other day I noticed a large patch of oil one the ground where my wife had parked it, so I checked under the car...

My scanner reports fuel neck sensor fault so I replaced it, it didn't fix it, I acquired the DPF ECU listed in Service Citroen new old stock, climbed under to fit it this morning, there no such thing in the place shown in the picture, so am I being wound up or is it somewhere else?

Hi, I'm after some advice about my citroen relay, The heater control panel wont select the windscreen setting, the heater and blower work fine and I can select every other option but the dial wont spin far enough to select the windscreen, Is there any adjustment on the cable? On a recent holiday in France all the diesel pumps are marked B7, 7% bio added.
Just recently my local Esso garage is now displaying B7
Is this likely to give problems with filters.
I have read many differing reports on Bio and clogged filters.
Does anyone have any practical experience with Bio diesel?

My 406 did this on the passenger side because it rarely saw a key. Sprayed a load of WD (yes I know) in the lock and worked the key in and out several times and it came back to life.

ok ive been trying to track down a issue with my gyrometer as Lexia says it cant communicate with , ive checked for 12v and it does have power, it then brings up loads of other fault codes, so ive tried to find the issue myself including changing the gyrometer and it has made no difference ive also had it to a few garages and non can find the...

It's very frustrating, without having a CAN diagnostic circuit checker - so many of these systems are integrated on the data network. Pinpointing where the fault is can be very difficult without the specific kit. This will be invaluable to others if you manage to isolate the fault.

I’ve looked online trying to find a guide to towing capacity. Guides are telling me to subtract the max vehicle laden weight from the gross train weight. I’ve done this using the plate found on the door pillar on my 2008 C5 2 Ltr Hdi Auto exclusive tourer estate and this gives me 1200Kg! ☹️
