Does any know how much transmission oil to put in after draining Gear Box model number 9650882910.
Car model Citroen C2 1.1 2004.
Had some leak after changing spring when the cv shaft came out, not sure how much oil was lost and this model does not seem to have a dipstick or level plug.
Most citroens transmission seem to have 2 liter to refill after a drain, but the supplier of the gear oil said my car transmission showed up with a capacity: 2.35 - 2.65 ltr.
I am aware that only a flush removes all the oil, but I am only planing do a drain and refill. How much oil do I need to refill this gearbox after a drain?
Thanks for any info.

Re: Gearbox with no dipstick or level plug
There are also 2 types of manual gearbox that could be fitted, so best to pop your VIN up if you are not sure:
The 'BE' gearbox takes 1.9 Litres when empty and the 'MA' gearbox is 2.5 litres.

I have noticed of the forum that VIN numbers are hidden, if I post the VIN would it be public or only read by forum staff.
are there specail character I have to put around the number to hide it?

No, just type it in normally with no spaces and when you submit your post it will be automatically masked to the public

Re: Gearbox with no dipstick or level plug
Ok, so you have the MA type gearbox:
(1) gearbox drain plug.
(2) filling and level plug.
So quantity is 2 Litres after draining.

Re: Gearbox with no dipstick or level plug
The diagram is not the same, mine does not have a level plug, the metal cover is the same and the drain plug is square tool fittiing but the casing is different , there are plenty of images on google and ebay so on with gearbox model 9650882910, any clues, I could risk it and measure what is drained; if below 2 litre or below then fill with 2 litre. what damage would happen if it its too low or high by 100ml or so.
