When you say 'it doesn't engage the starter' do you mean the starter spins but doesn't engage the flywheel, the starter solenoid clicks but doesn't engage the starter, the fuse board clicks but the starter solenoid doesn't or finally...nothing happens at all?
Depending on the answer, various simple tests can be done.

No, only the Relay/Boxer with the Ford Puma engine have this. Not aware of any other models/engines that have this.

If the blower is not working it could be one of a lot of things. I know that's not helpful but the blower fan draws a lot of current and this can damage the relay in the BSM (engine bay fuse box) the circuit board of the BSM the connectors, the wiring and the speed controller. You should match them up and fit in pairs otherwise the characteristics will not be the same and this can affect handling. If it's faulty send it back (they should pay the return postage) and get them to send another one out of the identical model. Or send them both back, get a refund and get some elsewhere.

There were several types of BSR unit electrical harnesses, but these only have internal PSA numbers, not the one you have referred to which is probably the manufacturer reference number.

If it helps I have an official installation instructions for one of these kits for the 407 / 407SW, which may not be identical, but may help with the general...

On a related thread, I had some chattering when driving the Hdi wagon and did the usual bush replacements but could not find the culprit

As the CV joint boots where in a bad way, had the CV joints reconditioned and the ball joints replaced at the same time and all noises gone.

Suspect the prior owner of the Hdi was a lead foot given its a 2.7...

Pleased you cracked it. The build codes are used for the correct vehicle year on PP2000 (for Peugeot) and Lexia (for Citroen), but obviously won't matter in your case as you don't have either model. The EDC15C2 is a Bosch designation for the engine ECU model. These can still have different software levels, so you are correct not to attempt any...

Interesting. Ive been driving to work and back (70 miles round trip) for the last couple of days and I have tried to program the injectors as instructions twice in the evenings as well.

I had a similar experience after blanking the EGR and having it papped out,the Inlet Air Temp now sits at -40C....YIKES !,However,it appears that the map deliberately uses the lowest possible temperature available to keep the ECU happy. It does'nt effect the driving so ...fingers crossed !!

Cant think of any PSA vehicle with negative operated exterior lamps.
What are you using to check the power at the lamp? i would use another filament (not LED) bulb to check. This should be very simple to identify so im not sure what you are doing wrong?

The car was my Dad's, and upon further investigation it was decided that it was an uneconomical repair as he couldn't do the work himself, so he sold it on to a chap who had the time and skill to fix it for himself.

Dad replaced it with a VW Eos which is substantially less French as demonstrated...

Its surprising how slow the starters get when they start to fail, pleased you got it sorted, i had to do one of mine 3 yrs ago so much better after.

I had this problem with min C5 when I changed the front springs but if you are only changing the drop link you can pull it out half way and put something of a similar diameter in the other end to stop the bottom link moving out, when refitting do the reverse so there is always something holding the bottom wishbone in position.

managed to do it by only unbolting 4 bolts (eg the 1 and 2 on the driver side) and under the car

The clip clips in but I was a bit rough with the first one and it ended up in a few pieces (one of which is still missing somewhere in the engine / lights area)

The bearing isn't pressed into the hub, photo taken today but the housing and bearing have been sitting where it is for a few weeks as a reminder not to buy fake rubbish from the said ebay store, my personal view is this for a bearing that takes a lot of load especially a diesel , £11.99 is way to cheap

After letting the diesel settle in a glass bottle, I used a magnet but no reaction so not metallic.

Also a brown colour and not silver colour as you might expect.

I suspect its specks of diesel like the first photo of the canister but in speck form (maybe when I was scrapping around the canister)

I know of somebody who had a leak on an old engine, but it could have been from any one of several places. What he did was to clean the whole area, and then drew horizontal lines of chalk across the space. Next time the leak occurred it was obvious as to WHAT had leaked as the chalk had been washed away by the leak, so there was a 'chalkless'...

Don, the engine code would be digits 6-8 on the VIN- in the case of my 2013 DS5 THP155 it is 5FV. I have bought cam chain tensioners from EAI in Melbourne for about $90 and for $16 from China. I hadn't thought about timing the pump, would it not be via the pulley and pump bracket as normal? And if the DW8 pump bracket doesn't have the mark, could it not be added or swapped from the XUD one as reference?

The advance electrovalve/solenoid - I guess it could well be this, is there a way to test it/diagnose it before buying a new part?

I’ve only just seen your question 2 posts above.

Item 3 is a securing nut, but is not shown as being fitted on your vehicle, so you may have a different type of fixing if it is not there.

It probably needs adjusting, so I would ask them to look at it when you next have it serviced at Peugeot. I'm not sure how old your vehicle is as you didn't mention it, but if it's still under 3 years old then they should sort this for you for no charge.

Hi Anndy, For your car is the Eolys Powerflex additive with a blue sticker and cap. To reset the additive level in the pump and reset the counter in the engine ECU, you will need a Lexia - Diagbox.

We love lights at christmas , but these type !

Are you suggesting disconnecting the battery and then short it or reversing the polarity..........neither a good idea especially the latter on a newer car

Disconect then short the leads, id say it is depending on vechile age , it did work for me 06 206cc. But as i said i dont reckonmend just doing it without having anyone else doing this with...
