207 error code

Unread post by Allanr »

Hi,
My 207 1.6 diesel was not running smoothly when the engine repair needed came up on the dash with the car going into limp mode. The code reader produced code P1445 with the message particle emission filter must be changed. Is this the same as a Dpf as there are ones available for sale on eBay ? Or could the filter be cleaned out that is on the car. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you have the o2 sensor screwed into the top of the dpf spray the whole can as directed , then pop the sensor back in then go for a blast over 40mph and abive 2000rpms for 20mins this worked for me , if not do it twice then it shohld be ok. PEF DPF is the same . You can take the dpf off and back flush it then let it dry but if your not a diy mechanic then there are places that will clean the dpf from 70 pounds up.

Do you get a noise like stones rattling in the exhaust when you give it some welly ? If so this points to the cat possibly damaged also rotten egg smells to ,if the cat is busted it will throw up a code , your go in limp mode possible smoke & mpg reduced.
