We have just purchased
A Peugeot TU3 kfw 1.4 engine it was out of a Peugeot 207 according to the breakers.
We are going to build it to race spec for Oval racing it will be fitted in a GP Midget.
Could anyone tell me what gearbox fits this engine as there seems to be few different ones.
Thanks in advance

The TU3JP with engine code KFW would have been mated to a 5 speed box. I can't provide the exact details as parts information like gearbox codes, markings and official part numbers requires a membership upgrade and the VIN of the original vehicle that the engine came from. Please see below:
We can help if you need an original genuine part number, part diagram or vehicle factory build sheet and can't already find the info you need on the Forum. For this service, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 3 years, so excellent value.
If interested, links are below, then provide your vehicle's VIN in full, which will be masked automatically when you submit your post.

Thanks for the reply, would happily pay for the membership but would struggle with the VIN number as we only have the engine.

The reason we ask for the VIN is that we get the data from PSA and there can be variants of the 5 speed gearbox, so won't be able to advise of the appropriate box, the markings and speed ratios without it, but I understand the predicament.

As far as remember all TU engines had the Peugeot MA gearbox. We used to rally a 106 TU engine MA gearbox in the early 90`s and found the gearbox very fragile, the crown wheel is bonded on would you believe, needed loads of mods at Rivik Engineering Bournemouth (if they are still there?)

Thank you for that that's very helpful. We do modify the gearbox heavily, we remove the 5th gear, so we can shorten the gearbox, we replace the diff for a solid spool with a splined shaft to run a sprocket to chain drive the back axle. We're running a Fiat engine and box at the moment but there both fairly heavy
