508SW Drivers side Xenon too low

Good afternoon from Norway.
I bought a 2011 508SW a couple of months ago and realized (after it got alot darker) that the drivers side
headlamp is far too low. I earlier fixed the linkage on the rear axle (broken arm) that resulted in both
dipped beams to point to the ground.

The problem is that the drivers side dipped beam is about 3-4cm lower then the passangers side when
using the lightadjustment tool. Adjusting the hight does work while the lamp is lit/ engine is running but
it just goes back to the "original" position after restarting the engine.

No fault codes, i have calibratet both the sensors and the headlamps without luck. Do you guys know
if there is a special procedure to adjust the headlamps?

These really need professionally adjusting by a garage with a headlamp beam checking tool (regloscope), otherwise there's no way to know what impact the adjustments are having. These must be set within finely defined parameters, hence the need to use equipment designed for this purpose. You don't want to dazzle other drivers.

When the dipped beam is adjusted, it automatically adjusts the main beam.
If your height correctors are faulty, you will get a warning, but only if they are outside of tolerances. If you've made a manual repair to the linkage it may be having an impact on the position.

The headlamps should run an automatic test when they are first switched on, so if not a faulty motor, you may have just incorrectly adjusted them.

I have a regloscope at my workshop, i think i just swapped the name of the light. It is the main beam (driving xenon light) that is too low on one side.
Your are right, i had a warning before and after reading the fault memory and checking "now values" where the voltage for the rear hightsensor was way off i found a broken linkage. Made one myself and adjusted it to the same length as the old one.

The automatic test of the headlight`s works just fine, the test program for vertical movement works also fine with diagnostic tool aswell as
long beam. I have reset the hightadjustment and the voltage shows 1.6v while on plane ground which is fine. I have also reset the xenonlamps without luck. Do you know if there is a special prosedure of adjusting the headlamps? Engine on/off, manual adjustment before or after "zeroing" of headlamps?
If i adjust the headlight it will just "jump" back to the original place after restart.
