Hello,

my interior left sensors has developed a fault and I'm going to replace it. To replace it, I have to pull the old one out, but I can't seem to succeed. It appears it's held in by two plastic clips, but when I bend them, the sensor won't come out. What am I missing, how is the sensor removed?

One of my dipped beam (H7) bulbs blew the other day and when I came to replace it I noticed that the shield surrounding the bulb was off centre . It wasn't the bulb at fault as the replacement was the same, And the headlamp on the other side was similarly afflicted, albeit squinting the other way.

Is this correct or have the shields become bent...

My 2009 C5 2.2hdi vibrates through the body not steering wheel when accelerating, it is worse between 1500-2300 rpm in second gear and more prominent when going up hill although when lifting off power it goes. It happens on other gears above 1st gear going up hill and when hard accelerating on the motor way. the 2 driveshafts have been replaced...

I've seen lots of instructions for how to tune an XUD9 Bosch pump for performance by screwing in the max fuel screw.

To what extent can I make adjustments to improve MPG? Is it worth backing it off some, or is it going to be perfect where it is?

Have any of you most learned gentlemen had to remove or replace the exhaust manifold on a Citroen C5 petrol 2003 ?

I have tracked a rattle down to the manifold, having replaced the cat and secured the heat shields it is all that is left.

Ever since I purchased my Citroen relay van ( 4 years ago ) 2012 plate it had a noisy gearbox which was getting progressively worse over time, so I decided to get a recon gearbox which I had fitted about 6 weeks ago, at first I thought this was great no more noisy gearbox but when coming back down the gears it would nearly always crunch into...

I get fault U1308 & U1208 regularly. This manifests itself by setting off ABS/ESP fault. When I plug in Lexia I get incoherence error between ECU and ABS ECU. Lexia indicates VIN as VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] but Chassis VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. This leads me to think the ECU has been swapped out. I wonder is the fault associated with replacement of ECU?...

As you can guess with the title it's about my picasso. I'm hoping someone out there can give me a little guidance.

My clutch is on the way out the biting point is about 15mm from the top (as you depress the clutch), iv stalled it a few times trying to pull off.

The c1 I have for my daughter seems a strange sort of spec. Its a 2010 and dont know its exact model name. It has 1/2 leather/suede seats, a rev counter, interior parts painted black electric front windows central locking but not remote, it doesnt have air con and doesnt have alloys. What is the normal oil consumption for C4 VTS 2.0 16V ( 180 HP ) ? My car has 290,000 KM ( no oil leaks ) and the oil consumption is 1Kg for 5700 KM. Is that normal ?

Lately I noticed that occasionally the Xenon directional light is not rising enough and the beam is pointing to close . Most time it is OK. It looks like the problem arise when it is raining. Is it related to to the rear axle load sensor (or anything else) ? Where does this sensor located ?

Took my timing belt cover at the weekend to see my timing belt on its way through being destroyed. Glad I caught it in time! I can't see any evidence of rubbing against the topmost timing belt cover.

This belt was only fitted about 3 months ago, along with a new water pump and lucas-to-bosch fuel pump swap.

The battery has a black electrical box in tied on in front of it and here are wiring harness going across the front and into a big plugs next to the battery. Plugs all good, cam belt and timing good apart form the exhaust cam belt sprocket problem, see picture in that thread.

Cam sensor is a 3 wire hall effect type according to intermotor part number 19032 needing a scope to check. The sensor is out and looks ok apart from some engine oil...

Hi all I have read in my Haynes manual that the fuel filter needs to be drained regularly and that the drain screw and washer needs renewing, is the screw they are referring to the large knurled knob on the bottom of the filter, it seems odd to have to replace it as it's not strictly a screw, any advice would be welcome

Went to check coolant today in the usual fluid check to find the coolant black and very oily. Checked the dipstick and no emulsion and is still oil so clearly oils getting into the coolant somehow.
