I hooked up my BT OBD (Elm327) to the car just to check for fault codes, the car runs fine (knock on wood) but I get antipollution system faulty from time to time. My OBD managed to show these codes, if anyone can help me figure out what they are.
Pending and confirmed fault codes:
P0409
P0488
P0490
Confirmed fault codes:
P1351
No permanent fault codes showed. I think some of these are EGR valve related but the previous owner said he replaced the EGR valve maybe like 6-7 months ago. I plan to take it to a colleague's friend that services Citroen cars and have it hooked to proper diagnostics, just to check everything and to see if anything needs maintenance/fixing.
Here's my VIN if needed: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

You can ignore the P1351 error, as this seems to come up with almost every HDi engine, and they soldier on regardless. I know that somebody has found a cause (and a fix), but I would not worry about it.

Re: Help with reading some fault codes
P0409 EGR circuit fault
P0488 EGR butterfly position
P0490 EGR high (possibly stuck closed)
You need to clear them and see if they come back, and check live data on the EGR valve position.

Glow plugs related perhaps? I'll have them checked before winter but car was starting fine last winter.Hell Razor5543 wrote: ↑02 May 2022, 20:28 You can ignore the P1351 error, as this seems to come up with almost every HDi engine, and they soldier on regardless. Cheers Richard. I'll have it rechecked. Car doesn't have any symptoms that it had before EGR got replaced (mainly hiccups when accelerating and once it turned on safe mode or something and didn't wanna start). They towed it to the service center and it was the EGR, I believe the flap was stuck and didn't wanna close or something but it was best to replace. This was all done by the previous owner not by me.
