Finding this a bit confusing. Haynes say anything between 10w/30 to 15/50 but I’ve just picked up 5w/40 from the local motor factors which comes up on their system.
Will the 5w/40 be okay?

I would stick to 10W 40 semi-synthetic. As your car is a bit older than the later specifications, it's not listed, but 10W-40 is listed for the later TU3 Engines. This will cover you from -20° to +50° climates.

Thanks.
