Hi, my diesel saxo has got the cluster with no water temp gauge, just a bulb that goes on when engine is already cooked, is it possible that i fit a cluster from another diesel saxo with a temp gauge? As i have seen online for a diesel model that they have a temp gauge, or they have different wiring?

Ok. Got a C5 estate, 58 plate. Getting into the bonnet was difficult. So, got it up, and the plastic catch was stiff, I got maintenance spray and sprayed all over the catch and bonnet catch. My passenger side rear shock absorber is loose at the top.

I can't see how to access the top of the rear shock absorber as it goes behind the wheel arch trim.

Does anyone know how to access the top of the shock absorber?
Do I need to remove the wheel arch trim, or do I access it from inside the boot, and take off the side panel?

New problem ESP/ABS warning light came on yesterday morning resulting poor running and stalling, managed to get home.

Put Diagbox on and the following faults recorded:

Inj/Ign P0017, P0337, P0338
ABS & ESB U1208 probably related to above the others are not relevent

P0337 & 0338 which engine sensors to these relate to.

Hi Marc. I have had a warning light appear stating battery charge or electric supply fault. Electric tailgate and air con now in opp. Is this an alternator issue. Maybe a coincidence but cars developed a rattle from belt area now as well.

I posted a thread a few weeks ago about fitting the aux belt on a 2008 c5.

Today I had an error about the electrical supply.. Popped the bonnet and the aux belt had come clean off!

It's pretty damaged too..

Had about 500 miles out of it from new, and bought it from euro car parts.

I still have the old belt so have popped that back...

I'm experiencing a bit of a odd problem as in clutch being stiff, pedal is hard to press, at lest harder than my other 2.2/173Hp. There is no vibrations or bangs coming from the gearbox, I can engage and disengage without any noises or grindings, just the pedal is stiff....

As the outer left rubber boot has been broken for over a year, the CV joint has started producing a whining noise. I'm thinking of replacing the drive shaft when I'm at it and is wondering if anyone can provide the procedure for this? My car has got the 2.0 HDI and 6-speed manual gearbox.

No longer do you have to go looking round breakers for a suspension cylinder when corrosion around the rim
means it has let go and started leaking. Today I ground down the rim and then emry papered it so there was a smooth finish.
. careful to keep it square to the sides of the cylinder. Removed the old cylinder..in !0 minutes...
