I know it involves compressing three slotted rubber wedges, but I don't see how that's achieved and dont want to risk damage to the fan.

My Xantia SX HDi has a CD changer in the boot. However I am not sure if it is supposed to have some trim round it with a lid on it. The same colour as the boot carpet. It is shown on service citroen as having it. The part is no longer available. Did they all have one? I would like one if anybody has a spare one for sale? Thanks.

In a new (for me ) xantia, I received vehicle with a switched bypass on the blower - so that the dash slide control is bypassed.
Likely some fault with the slider methinks. What could that have been?
I aim to restore proper heating, Suspect it also cuts out the AC.

I'm planning to replace the heater matrix in my Sunday best Xantia this weekend.

I've read the sage advice from a number of archive posts on the subject (thanks Jim !!) and ordered the O ring seals (part number 6564V1) from the local dealer.

He's just rung me back to say they are no longer available.

Hi, my S1 Xantia, just removed the front discs !!! The caliper side of both front discs ( inside) I have a 20 m/m strip ( groove) running around both discs ! the pads mirrors this . the outside of the disc is fine , no uneven wear and the outside pads are fine. anyone know why the pads and discs would have wear around both discs ! cheers Terry....

Had that ALSO Xac, the eccentric 8mm bolt appears to tighten itself up!! They dont need a lot of tightening.

I had one, but I didnt use a Torx, I used a SPLINED Bit, which had more Ridges on it to grip to the internal rounded edge..

Funny you should mention splined bits, I picked up a set today. One is close in size but just slightly too big....

You may recall I replaced the boots on the tie rods on my Xantia (I say replaced, they'd been missing for years and didnt realise), as well as changing the tie rods and tie rod ends. All new. But ever-worse knocking noises are coming from the steering column as I turn to the left or the right from the centre.

It's one of those odd (to me) covers that are located in the ceiling of the car, it looks like you'd be able to hook something into it or whatever - I don't know really what they are for. There are four in total.

We was changing the accumintor sphere We had the car up on ramps We took the wrong sphere off. It was the one at the middle on the front. we took off. Probably the regulator one. We put the old one back on. Started the car. No problem.
Then we noticed another sphere. at the bottom on the passenger side. Tried to get to get it off. Couldn't do it....

Just to let you Citroeners know, I am back with a PSA car. Namely a 99 Pug 1.1 Zest--NO abs, aircon, electric windows or a multitude of ecu's.

SWMBO's Mitsubishi is not a problem, with a replacement glass already found and the shell survived intact.
The Xantia is a different story. Citroen made the whole mounting from brittle plastic, which has snapped...

With my reg, it brings up 453CP0011 but states Activa? which it certainly isn't.

I'm beginning to suspect the crank pulley is the cause of alternator drive gear squeaking at idle, which vanishes above 1100 revs.
Other symptoms include a twisting and thrashing aux drive belt on the run between AC and crank pulley.
