French Car Forum

Hi everyone! First time using a forum so please forgive me if I do it wrong!

I've got a 2014 Berlingo, 1.6hdi DV6, I bought it with a fuel fault. The code was P0087, replaced the fuel rail sensor with a £13 one from ECP, made no difference. Then replaced with a £40 one as well as a fuel filter. Right as rain.

Drove 1500 miles and had a service,...

Hi everyone,
I have a Citroën C4 1.6 HDi (2008, 66 kW) with a manual gearbox. Recently I noticed a strange humming/whining noise and I’m trying to figure out where it’s coming from.

Here’s what’s happening:

When the engine is running at idle, I can hear a constant humming noise.

As soon as I press the clutch pedal – the noise disappears...

After much searching on the internet i could find very little on the subject of boost on a 2 litre Activa, be it maximum boost, when it hits full boost at low revs and how the boost modulator does its job.

This evening i plumbed in a temporary boost gauge just before the ECU.

My car is believed to be untouched in this area and the results i got...

Hi all, i have a 2015 Citroen Dispatch and the drivers door won't unlock. I use a key as i don't have a fob. I can unlock the rear door but that doesn't unlock the front doors. I have reached through a gap with a pole to press the unlock button near the radio but it doesn't unlock the front. When i turn the key in the door it will lock but nothing...

Hi All,

First off can I just say this forum has been so helpful for me over the years, I've come across a lot of helpful information. This is my first time having to post so please bear with me. Thanks!

I'm having an issue with my 2015 C4 Grand Picasso. It's one of the semi Auto gearboxes. On takeoff, I get a very hard juddering, to the point...

Hi Gang

I'm having a bit of a saga with my C4GP. Having driven it home from the seller, it's not moved an inch since!

I originally thought the battery was knackered and so bought a new one in December. It wasn't delivered for 3-weeks so I refused delivery and bought one from somewhere else.

I stuck it in last night but I still have the same...

Hi all,

Bit of a basic question - sorry for my ignorance.

Where exactly do i spray EGR cleaner?

Is the blue circle my air filter housing? So i spray down the pipe circled red?

Citroen dispatch 1.6 Bluehdi XS 2018

Thank you

Had a call from a friend, the above car smokes white when first started, it then clears and runs fine for the rest of the day. After a stand of 1 or 2 nights, same thing. She went to Peugeot who have diagnosed an injector problem. 1800 euros to replace all 4. They didn't charge for the diag so she has no printout. So she's asked me for my opinion....

Afternoon all, the central locking has been a t..t since I bought the car and won't work on key fob for both front door but it opens all the other if I unlock it with the key from drivers door the passenger door stays locked and the rest open, if I unlock with key from passenger side the drivers door stays locked but rest open... I can't seem to...

Hello,
Is this normal with a 1.6 HDI full of stupid things for “clean gases” DPF, Adblue, Urea? It’s normal to be so black? I know it's normal to have a smoked interior, it's a diesel, but is it normal to have the tip so black? As if it were oil? I have other vehicles, TDI, and they don't look like this.

I am toying with the idea of fitting an LED bar to supplement the absolute p**s poor P21W reverse lighting on my Grand Picasso B78 2014 1.6 ehdi. I'm thinking of fitting it just under the rear bumper.

Finding out the legalities of this isn't easy. Too much conflicting information on the Internet.

I'd be grateful if there's any MOT technicians...

Hi guys,

Hi everyone, new to this forum, I'm trying to replace the vacuum pump gaskets or buy a new one as it's leaking oil at the moment and having difficulty locating some. UK based. Do you have any suggestions? (also how can I find my engine code pls? - Relay van 2019 blue hdi 2.2).Thank you.

The other day the wing mirrors just didn't open the next time I unlocked the car. It is a 2019 Citroen C4 Grand Spacetourer

I have gently opened them and the electric adjustment works of the mirror glass but the units don't close anymore.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi. New to the forum, but not new to Citroen.

This being my second Berlingo van. 2019 with 16k miles on the clock.  Has started to produce greyish smoke mainly during acceleration, but I have noticed during idle. If I accelerate hard, then a puff of black smoke. Took to a local diagnostic centre and £500 later have performed a smoke test on the...

Hey i am begging for some help please!

I have a 2009 Citroen c3 Picasso 1.6HDI Diesel - No DPF

Have a hum that gets louder the faster I go on the C5 X7. When I turn left it stops or gets quieter, when I turn right it stays the same.
Sound seemed coming from O/S/R (driver's side, rear right).

So I changed the wheel bearing, but the sound still persists.

I'm thinking it was the other side, and the sound just seemed to be coming from the...

I removed the plastic cover under the steering wheel (where the OBD socket is) to install a GPS tracking device in my car, and I found a loose connector there. Does anyone have an idea what it might be for?

Hi all, I need some advice on a DPF issue. Car is a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2014 2.0L Diesel and has done approx 120,000 miles and has had an adblue delete done. I've had engine warning light come up almost a year ago, and the fault was a blocked DPF and engine limited. I have been able to clear this with a basic reader and app on my phone and...

C5 steering again! I've got a major fluid leak. It is certainly one of the pressure pipes because it only gushes out on RH turns.

I haven't been able to inspect it yet but I think it is likely to be one of the 2 external pipes seen on top of the rack. Possibly where they connect.

I had the rack out early in the year to fix the usual c5x7 shaft...

Hello, might be stupid question. I have 2012 citroen Ds5 2.0 hdi hybrid and there is button at steeringwheel that says eco. I thought it was for start stop, but there is no start stop, because every time i stop, the electric motor kicks in and diesel stops. So is this button for something else? Also i see ECO on guage, it shows how eco i am...

2013 Citroen C3 Picasso

Not my car admittedly, it's my mother in law's. The plastic part at the bottom of the steering wheel has cut my hands up. Upon trying to feel around the wheel I have then sliced my finger. It's sharper than glass.

We could of course tape it, but I worry this would wear and just be a reoccurring problem. Do we need to do...

Hello

First post here! I recently bought a 2009 C3 Picasso 1.4VTi from a used car dealer. It appears to be missing its battery and ECU covers. I have not seen a picture of these covers, so do not know what to look for when scanning car parts listings. Can any 1.4 VTi owners post a picture of their battery covers, please?

Secondly, I noticed a...

Hi everyone,
My car has a strange issue that the Android auto does not hear me when I speak to the car, hello Citroën doesn't work either and I'm not sure if it's an issue with the microphone or whether it's some setting I haven't done or is incorrect. I have tried it with Apple phones and it's still the same, so it must be a firmware issue or...

I forgot this had one when I went to see it and to be honest I nearly didn't take because of that, didn't say to David though.

But the more I am in it the more I hate it. If I want to use a handbrake I will, I dunt want it coming on when the engine stops.

I really think I should just sell it as i can't get used to a saloon plus needs a few...

I have a 2016 Berlingo, VIN VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. Suddenly, the display was limited to what is shown in the pictures. The radio won't work. None of the diagnostics work. Occasionally, when I first turn on the ignition, the display will show Initialize pressure but does not give me access. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
could anyone help me locate the evaporator sensor on my 2000 xsara? The part number is 6445HF.
I've looked under the glove box and behind the central console, but I was only able to find 2 interior temperature sensors (654464W).

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Today I found this behing the air filter box, struggle a little to put it out but is out. Anyone know where is this from?

Does anyone know what witchcraft this is? 🤣 After putting the windshield back on (it had taken off at the top) they removed the glass and put it back with the new glue. However, this noise appeared. And it only disappears when the car is accelerating or accelerating even stopped, when stopped it makes this vibration. You can only hear it from the...

Hi!
The hood on my 2018 c4 II hatchback is visibly resonating when statioary. As I rev up the engine it usually subsides. What can be the issue?

Hi!
I Have a C4 II 2018 and in the last few months I've been hearing a strange knocking noise coming from under the car though I can't pinpoint it well. It usually doesn't happen in the morning when I start the car, but it will come up after 10-15 min of driving. I couldn't tie it to any specific behaviour, though it seems to happen less when...
