First off can I just say this forum has been so helpful for me over the years, I've come across a lot of helpful information. This is my first time having to post so please bear with me. Thanks!
I'm having an issue with my 2015 C4 Grand Picasso. It's one of the semi Auto gearboxes. On takeoff, I get a very hard juddering, to the point where the car jumps forward. It's like you lifted your foot really quickly off the clutch (if you had one
I brought it into the main dealer just to get a second opinion and they said I've no warnings or anything but that I need a new clutch and possibly flywheel. They quoted me 2600 for the repair (900 for labour and the rest parts: clutch kit, flywheel and slave cylinder)
I've done a lot of work on my own car over the years but I'm aware of how much work there is in this one and doing it on my drive way is a bridge too far this time I think!
What I would like to know is if their diagnosis seems correct, if bringing it to another mechanic is an option, or would it need to be recalibrated again afterwards by the main dealer with the semi auto actuators and all that, or even better if there is somebody around Galway (Ireland) who knows what they are doing with these gear boxes and could do the whole job for a decent price.
Thanks for any and all advice!
