I know i haven't had it long at all but I can't get used to having a saloon.
I had one many years ago and sold it too. I thought i could get used to having one again but find the estate to practical especially having the dog.
Yes i could put her in the back seat but really not keen on it.
I know the back seats on this model fold down like an estate but there is still a high "lip" to put things in unlike the estate just flat.

Yes, there's no going back once you've had space in the back.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

I know i like the car albeit it needs money spent on it but the practicality of it for me is doubtful.

Re: Can't get used to a saloon
David said it needed a right back shock as it was leaking. I was reading up on it, a bloody pain to be honest. I know the suspension is or should be about the best in a car etc but the cost and hassle i don't think I could be bothered. Maybe if it was the estate and was keeping it then and only then I would get it done, but the way it is i doubt it.

Re: Can't get used to a saloon
I never liked estates. I recently bought one. I learned. There indeed is no going back.

My guess is you have no dog etc or if you do you have another car or goes in the back seat.

Re: Can't get used to a saloon
Farmers carry their livestock in trailers, if you have a tow bar you could consider one. Not sure your dog would like it though.
Mrs P was not sure about replacing her C4 (hatchback) with the 308 estate but after a few outings she would not go back.
I recently walked passed a Jaguar saloon with its boot open and was surprised by how small it was. I thought they were paying all that money and they could not get much in, never mind a bike in the back.
