Unknown socket

I removed the plastic cover under the steering wheel (where the OBD socket is) to install a GPS tracking device in my car, and I found a loose connector there. Does anyone have an idea what it might be for?

if you can post the number printed on the pink wire it may be possible to identify it!

I just checked the pink wire. There’s no number on it, only some black marks or stains.
My guess is that it’s either for the Webasto on/off switch or the front windscreen heating element switch. I don’t have either of those features in my car.

You might have to unwrap the loom tape to go far enough back to see the numbers,

It is possible that (as you have suggested) it is for something that is not fitted to your vehicle. Rather than have a wiring loom for each possible variant most manufacturers have a few looms, and will use one to cover a few spec levels, another for the next levels, and so on.
