Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

Ok, not new but regassed. I sent my front corner spheres to Pleiades for recharge and they did a champion job and returned very quickly. Repainted too.

When looking at the pictures of your open wiper motor case, it seems that there is interference between the edge of the case and the magnet.

The position of the magnet on the motor shaft is sensed by the circuit board and should be in the correct position as it rotates.

The hissing is caused by the regulator never achieving cutout pressure. There can only be three reasons for this:
1) The regulator cutout pressure is too high because of a fault (unlikely).
2) The pump output is insufficient - not too bad a job to swap it with one from a scrappy to check.

I had this issue with my 406 many years ago. My issue though was the opposite. Interior lights would stay on when the a door was opened but would flick on and off when shut. In my case it turned out to be the lh front door. The car thought it wasn't fully shut. If I looked that door the lights would go out.

Before you go crawling under the car trying to remove bits to access the catch, consider that bowden cables usually break at the ends (also, in my experience it is usually the lever end) & it might be worthwhile stripping back a bit of interior trim to see if you can access the cable from there. Parking Sensor Issue

Hi all,

I have Citroen C4 coupe 2007, it has front and rear parking sensor.

this option suddenly stopped, front and rear sensors.

Nothing happen as you park the car, even no car drow appear on the LCD when you park the car.

the parking button keep light up and cant turn it on.

I checked all fuses, all is good.

I tried my car parking module...

on my 2010 C4GP 1.6hdi (auto) I have a P0299 code (turbo pressure lower than reference flow) - It is actually reading turbo pressure but there is no vacuum to the turbo 'lever' (turbo end of pipe 7 in picture below). The 'lever' does actually move freely by pushing it and seems to hold the vacuum (pulling the pipe off and putting finger...

Hi, I wonder if I could seek advice on a de-pollution problem with my 2007 C5 1.6 HDi. It is in limp mode and has the following issues logged when connected to diagnostics.
Short circuit to earth of the additive pump power stage.
PO245 Turbo pressure electrovalve control.

This isn’t for a French car, it’s regarding a K12 Micra 2008 but you chaps seem much more clever and helpful than any people on other forums, and this is, I imagine, relevant to any petrol engine.

Do they play any important role in the HDi design beyond essential for (icy weather) cold starts?

Mine has it's glow plug relays out, possibly just one, garage man said not to worry, however I've noted for a while that my engine sounds unhappy on cold starts..

The foam in my passenger front seat has collapsed. Management is complaining of the frame tube pressing into her leg, fair!
So, I have another front seat to replace it, same fabic, everything good. BUT, it does not have the side airbag.

Is it poss to swap the seat backs? Can the upper and lower halves be split? I have 3 weeks untill we are going...

Hi!

1 month ago i have regassed 6 spheres on my Citroen C5 X7 Tourer, 2.0 HDI 2012.

On the very first ride i have noticed that the suspension became quite stiff, it wasn't as soft as before.

Thinking that one sphere didn't hold the pressure, today i have rechecked the front ones and the pressure is fine.

Apologies firstly if I shouldn't be asking this. I only joined the other day:
I've put a deposit on a 2012 2.0HDi C5 Tourer in silver and before I transfer the balance I'd like to check the VIN.
The usual free/dodgy sites either don't come back with anything, or one came back with a white 1.6 saloon!

Hi guys! Hope you all alright! English is not my first language, apologise for any mistakes.

My Citroen is really struggling on cold engine.
Hesitates around 2000rpms when engine is cold.
No faults, no warning light on dash.

Things i have done so far:
-head gasket
-exhaust valve on 2nd cylinder (there was big chip, zero compression)

Yeah previously I did check the compression on all the cylinders and they were all around 135psi. The car does throw up the EML on more often when the car is cold or even when the reserve fuel warning comes on. The car does seem to run better when it is warmed up and I keep it in the higher rpm range. Maybe the issue is linked with carbon build up...

After the beautiful shame of being recovered from a busy retail park on Saturday because the car was stuck in reverse. I suspected the gear change cables and got home to have a look.

Just in case you don't have the procedure for unlocking the cables:

A : Locked position.
B : Unlocked position (Variable dimension C ).
Carry out the following operations simultaneously :
Move the cylinder (1) ; At a
Pull the locking key (2) ; At b

ABS module connection plug

Further to our ABS/ESP warnings issue, brake light switch replaced but to no avail. Next will be the engine speed sensor but in the meantime thought to undertake a BSI reset (guided by the helpful post on the FCF).
Whilst battery disconnected thought to give the ABS module electrical connection a clean and check for damp. The module is visible...

1.6 THP Engine oil leak

Hi!

I have a Citroën ds3 from 2013 with the 1.6 THP engine and I have an issue with oil leakage. I have localized it from a hole on the luft side of the valve cover (see picture). What does this hole do and does anyone know why it’s leaking oil from it?

Oh ok, that explains why there is oil in the gap between the valve cover and the cylinder head. Probably need a new valve cover then.

Why did i do it. Well needed abit more room but not massive ammounts so this was my choice
2012 1.6hdi. New clutch last Jan 2022. Plenty of service history and under 90,000 miles .

Bad points.
Back fog light cracked car park marks
Warning on dash after 90 mile drive
