Well if you decide to fit in a radio unit there, of course you will lose all vehicle functions and data that the current screen shows you (visual parking assistance, and any vehicle options that you would use the existing system to change).
Please Don't PM Me For Technical Help

My friend has unit but it is 11 inch model. It shows temperature, time, and parking sensors. I currently have a small mono screen so it doesn't show a lot of info....GiveMeABreak wrote: ↑01 May 2024, 22:00 Well if you decide to fit in a radio unit there, of course you will lose all vehicle functions and data that the current screen shows you (visual parking assistance, and any vehicle options that you would use the existing system to change).

The photo isn't the best - actually it doesn't look as bad as it appears LOL
Because it stands out a bit from the dash, it's better placed for using the touchscreen
But I appreciate that the purists might not like it![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Dives? I can't work out what the word is supposed to be.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Still means nothing to me I'm afraid.

It's a Junsun V1 Plus 4GB/64GB unit that comes with a specific bracket for the C5 II - fits both monochrome and GPS models.
It has full integration with Canbus so you can see all the car settings, including climate, speed etc
It does not come with a reversing camera but you can plug in a cheap AHD camera and it then displays assistance lines when reverse is selected
It has bluetooth of course so can use your phone for 4G but you can also put a SIM card in it for 4G/telephone
It integrates with the steering wheel and apparently you can assign the buttons to whatever feature you want - not tried this yet as the standard ones (vol, mute, next etc) are fine for me.
It has a music/video player of course for pretty much any type of file
It has Apple Carplay and Android Auto to mimic your phone screen on the display
It has GPS navigation either from maps you upload or using your Phone app.
And of course it's Android so you can add any extra apps that you want.
I paid €166 for it as I'm in France so prices might vary.

It may not look that great but i’d say its an easy trade off v getting better functionality, features & ease of use.
Besides many factory fit infotainment systems are of this style now, basically just looks like someone has glued an ipad onto the dash.

Yes, I guess I got used to my Tesla Model 3 when we lived in the UK - the C5 was a bit of a shock with all the buttons ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
