Jut wondering if anyone has changed or cleaned an RHR EGR valve ? Its a sod to get to, right over the back, and one of the biggest issues is that its hidden behind the air intake pipe. The gearbox on my boxer motorhome is leaking from the end cap, it has been bodged with some unidentified hard gunk but I'd quite like to get a new end cap. Hi, I recently bought a '97 boxer based 1.9td motorhome with about 80k on the clock and had it in the garage for an oil filler neck replacement and new alternator. Turns out the sump was leaking around the seal with the block so the mechanic removed it and found the main bearing cap closest to the gearbox had a crack in it....

THE radiator on my 308 is very hot at the plastic top yet cold below this, the expansion tank is getting a feed from the top of the radiator, the water temp gauge reads 90c .The heater is hot.
Is this normal for this model as I have only just bought the car as i would expect the bottom of the radiator to be at least warm after long runs

I have just done the timing belt on a 207 1.6 HDi 2007. I used the pins to lock the crank, cam and pump. I turned the engine 12 times afterwards and rechecked the pins all went in. Oh and the tensioner pointer was still dead center.

service due and i need to change the fuel filter on a DV6C engine looks easy to get at but I was wondering how easy it is to prime after changing the filter element there is a pump button on the top of the filter housing ,are there any tips on doing it.

PSA specify the use of a special Tee shaped connecting hose to bleed the filter, but this guy got away with just bleeding it into a cup:

I would argue he was a bit heavy handed with the securing bolts, and I would have done it in plastic tub to avoid spilling the diesel everywhere!!

As most know my 407 has been a garden ornament for a few months. I really need to get this diagnosed and fixed as it is useless the way it is. It's a 2007 2.7hdi auto. It has been remapped. It won't start, the battery although good is run down with sitting but still turns it over slowly. The codes I got from diagbox and what it says

No luck at all. It's too cold to muck about today. I was hoping, wrongly apparently, that a Leia would give you a code, which would then tell you exactly what to do to fix the problem. It has had the bsi reset, battery charged, codes reset, still won't start and the codes come back. I am bamboozled.

Its seems that the electric rad fan comes on sometimes before the engine is showing that it is even upto running temp?
I notice also that it is on after i leave the car after normal running ( not hot).

Does anyone else have this issue? is it just a faulty temp sensor of is it something new with these cars?

Hi Guys I have a 307cc Diesel 135BHP 08 Reg. I've noticed the past month a strange whistle sound when I accelerate. It sounds like a police Siren and irritates me. Prior to the sound appearing I had a Turbo Boost pressure ECU error and occasional hesitation.

Everything points to a Turbo or Turbo hose leak but need some advice regarding fixing it....

Peugeot’s 407 clutch noise.

Hi all. I have a 407sw 2.0hdi and there is a problem with the clutch. It makes an awful grinding noise when the clutch pedal is depressed. It won’t go into gear or move. Help!!

Sounds like the release bearing has broken up, and the clutch fork is now pressing direct on the clutch fingers. Time to get the 'box out!!

I have a 2004 2.0 hdi Partner that has an unusual problem... It randomly goes into acute limp mode without the engine management light on the dash. I lift the bonnet and while its idling, I can squeeze the priming bulb and purge air through the system seemingly from the rail - the air bubbles travel through the transparent fuel pipe that leads...

Can anyone me please help me I have an 2000 (W Reg) Peugeot 306 Meridian HDI 90 Est
I have had to replace the bulbs in the time clock for so reason the Immobiliser lock the ECU so the car will crank but would not run.
So I have replaced the ECU with an unlocked one the car now is running ok.
Now comes the BUT!!!!.
Now the rev counter isn’t...

The starting point would be to determine what YOU need the car to do. I, for example, have a C5 estate which, most of the time, is too large for my needs, but has, on a few occasions, carried loads that would have defeated a smaller car.

There may be an occasion where the OP needs a loud, boisterous, rapid Yank V8 powered car too.

Driving to work on Monday in my '88 205 I was flashed at by a number of cars behind me. Not because they liked my car but because my rear lights weren't working at all. Having investigated what's wrong I've discovered that the live wire from the right-hand rear light to the number plate lights is earthing somewhere causing the fuse to blow as soon...

Wife bought this last April all was fine then it started cutting out always started again within a minute of stopping this carried on sometimes driving a few miles then hundreds of miles fast forward to just before xmas it got worse until it failed to start completely had t tow it home the next morning it started so I let it run still running an...

I have a Peugeot Expert 1.6 hdi van, the engine is destroyed, the engine code is 9HU and it seems impossible to find a used replacement, I have seen lots of 1.6 hdi, Citroen/Ford/Fiat 1.6hdi engines of a similar year but with different codes, will any of these fit my van ?, its a 2007

after sorting my heater blower not working on my 07 plate 807 I thought I would have a go at getting the 4 button key fob to work,
most key fob problems seem to be dead fob battery or pairing issues, mine was much easier,
The HS SH fuse found by your right knee side scuttle fuse box had been moved from user to park, prehaps to save battery power...

205 Steering From Electric to Pulley

Hello to all .

The electric pump for the power steering is dead on our 205.

We scrapped a 306 recently and have the brackets and pump for the power steering.

Any thoughts on running the 205 from the pulley pump instead of the electric pump ?

Will the 205 rack take the pressure supplied from the pulley pump ?

Yep , its loads higher. Will try a bounce test on it - although some of the extra height has come from fitting the bigger tyres.

206 blower motor stopped blowing

Hi all,

I have a friend with a 2001 206 1.6 petrol, with digital climate control and I believe non-multiplexed wiring. The blower motor suddenly stopped blowing on any speed. Am I right in assuming since it has digital climate control, it will have a fan controller module instead of a simple resistor pack? I know these can go bad since I've had...

807 cruise control

sorted the heaters in the 807 they work a dream.
but what controls the cruise control in an 807,
it does not work no lights come on the dash, I know there will probably be switches on the brake and clutch which I will check at the weekend but is it controlled by the bsi or the can
(if mine has the can) are there any fuses to check.

Hi not been on for awhile (came over to the DARK SIDE), had a few citroens over the years all of which had there niggles.
So decided to upgrade from an 806 to an 807 se manual 2.0 hdi. maybe should have gone for the C8 instead,
Went to pick car up had to jump start with leads, started first turn but battery is kaput,reset clock and date and drove...

removed glove box gave the blower a rubber mallet kiss and hey presto every dry leaf particle came out of the vents in a big hurry, its ok the better half was going to hoover the car anyway.
The guy I got the car from did say it had been sitting for about 4 months. checked the direction flap and moving smoothly. got great blowers on the 807.

Another 307 question (wheel bearing)

I need to replace a rear wheel bearing on the 307 its pressed into the disc. Can it be hammered out and a new one pulled in with a large nut and bolt or do I need a press? Thanks

I have some 3/4 drive sockets and a massive eye bolt from god knows where I might give it a go. The centre isn't under much pressure as the stub axle runs through it. Thats a nice looking kit useful when you dont have a press
